MLS Eastern Conference Championship Decided Sunday on FS1 and FOX Deportes
With a trip to the MLS Cup on the line, FS1 and FOX Deportes televise the second and final leg of the Eastern Conference Final in the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs this Sunday, Nov. 29, as the New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew SC face off at 7:30 PM ET. The Crew is on the brink of the club’s second-ever MLS Cup appearance after MLS MVP finalist Kei Kamara helped his team to a 2-0 advantage in the series opener against the Supporters Shield winners and last year’s MLS Golden Boot winner Bradley Wright-Phillips.
FOX Sports’ lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match with analyst Alexi Lalas and sideline reporter Julie Stewart-Binks live from a sold-out Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. Rob Stone hosts FS1’s pregame, halftime and postgame coverage from the stadium, which also features a halftime interview with MLS Commissioner Don Garber. Stone is joined by former U.S. Men’s National Team and Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel, who was named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year in 1997 as a member of the Crew.
On the Spanish-language side, FOX Deportes kicks off coverage at 7:00 PM ET with a special edition of FOX DEPORTES EN VIVO. Calling the match are play-by-play announcer Troy Santiago and former Mexican National Team Captain and MLS player Claudio Suarez. Jaime Motta provides live reports on-site from Red Bull Arena. FOX Deportes’ digital platforms supplement efforts through social media channels and provide exclusive player interviews and content on FOXDeportes.com.
All matches on FS1 on FOX Deportes are available via FOX Sports GO and FOX Soccer 2Go, and online through FOXSportsGO.com.
