Lloyd, Morgan and Solo Take Field Wednesday vs Colombia in Women’s World Cup Knock-out Round Rematch on FS1
Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan and Hope Solo and the reigning World Cup Champion USWNT take the field on Wednesday, April 6 (7:30 PM ET) in an international friendly against Colombia on FS1. The game is a rematch of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015 Round of 16 game in June, which is the most-watched soccer match ever on FS1, and the fifth most-watched event ever. The match is also being live-streamed via FOX Sports GO and online at FOXSportsGO.com.
Coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET with a 30-minute special pregame show hosted by Rob Stone in Los Angeles, who is joined by former USWNT players Leslie Osborne and Aly Wagner, and retired Canadian Women’s National Team goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc. In addition to taking a look at the USWNT and its ensuing match, Osborne, Wagner and LeBlanc discuss the compensation complaint filed last week with the EEOC following a report on the topic from FOX Sports soccer insider and senior Sports Illustrated writer Grant Wahl.
JP Dellacamera calls the match from Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn. alongside 1999 Women’s World Cup-winning coach Tony DiCicco and former USWNT defender Cat Whitehill, with Jenny Taft reporting from the sideline.
