FOX Sports Televises All 32 Matches of Historic FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup
The stage is set for the FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup in Jordan, the first FIFA women’s competition to take place in the Middle East, and FOX Sports televises the tournament on FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus. Action begins on Friday, Sept. 30, at 7:55 AM ET on FS2 when star striker Deyna Castellanos and Venezuela take on top scorer Vanessa Ziegler and Germany, one of seven squads to have participated in every tournament since its inception in 2008. Ross Dyer calls the match alongside former U.S. Women’s World Cup champion Shannon MacMillan. On Saturday, Oct. 1, world-class talent Ashley Sanchez and the Americans face Paraguay at 11:55 AM on FOX Soccer Plus with MacMillan and Mark Rogondino on the call.
FOX Sports’ broadcasters for the tournament include a rotation of announcers who were part of FOX Sports’ 2015 Women’s World Cup coverage, including former U.S. Women’s National Team midfielder Angela Hucles; Danielle Slaton, who captained the U.S. Women’s U-16 Team from 1996-1997; and former NCAA Division I player Kyndra de St. Aubin.
