LOS ANGELES, CA – FOX Sports continues its UEFA Champions League coverage on site from Madrid, as reigning European champions Real Madrid battle crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid, and a rising AS Monaco team squares off against Juventus over two-game semifinals, beginning today at 2:00 PM ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes.
Lead play-by-play announcer John Strong and analyst Brad Friedel call the all-Madrid semifinals, as Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid faces Atletico Madrid for the fourth year in a row in knockout stages, live from Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and Vicente Calderon Stadium on Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 10, respectively. Eleven-time champion Real Madrid defeated Bayern Munich 6-4 on aggregate to advance to the semifinals, while Atletico Madrid ended Leicester City’s run, 2-1.
On Wednesday, May 3 and Tuesday, May 9, defensive powerhouse Juventus battles rising force AS Monaco beginning at 2:00 PM ET on FS1. Juventus eliminated Lionel Messi’s Barcelona 3-0 on aggregate, while AS Monaco defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-1 to advance in the competition.
