FOX Sports is Exclusive English-Language Home to 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup
Los Angeles – FOX Sports is the exclusive English-language home to the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup, carrying all 52 matches live from May 20 to June 11 on FS1 and FS2.
The 2017 edition marks FOX Sports’ second time televising the tournament, which is contested every two years and comprised of 24 teams from the six FIFA confederations, drawing six four-team groups (A-F). The action kicks off Saturday, May 20 with four matches, as Venezuela squares off against Germany and Vanuatu battles Mexico in Group B, and Argentina clashes against England and host nation Korea Republic hosts Guinea in Group A.
The U.S. U20 Men’s National Team, led by head coach Tab Ramos and assistant coach and FOX Sports analyst Brad Friedel, was drawn into Group F, where it faces Ecuador, Senegal and Saudi Arabia. The Americans open group play against Ecuador on Monday, May 22 (FS1, 3:50 AM ET) before battling Senegal on Friday, May 26 (FS1, 6:50 AM ET) and Saudi Arabia on Sunday, May 28 (FS1, 4:50 AM).
Round-of-16 coverage begins Tuesday, May 30 (FS1, 3:50 AM ET), with quarterfinal and semifinal coverage kicking off Sunday, June 4 (FS2, 1:50 AM ET) and Thursday, June 8 (FS1, 3:50 AM ET).
