Veteran sports television producer Richie Zyontz has nearly 40 years of network television experience. Super Bowl LIV marks Zyontz’s 13th Super Bowl overall and sixth as the lead game producer, having previously produced Super Bowls XXXIV, XLII, XLV, XLVIII, LI on FOX.
Zyontz has more than 18 years of experience as a lead NFL producer and in 2018 added THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL to his list of responsibilities. As lead producer on the Thursday property, Zyontz has partnered with director Rich Russo, play-by-play announcer Joe Buck, analyst Troy Aikman, rules analyst Mike Pereira and reporters Erin Andrews and Kristina. Zyontz is also the lead producer of AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK, which has ranked as the No. 1 show in all of television for 11 consecutive years.
After Super Bowl LIV concludes, Zyontz serves as coordinating producer for the Daytona 500 and all FOX NASCAR coverage. The upcoming season marks his 20th as FOX NASCAR coordinating producer, beginning with his 17th season-opening Daytona 500.
Zyontz joined FOX Sports as a FOX NFL game producer in 1994, the network’s inaugural season, and has worked on every major property the network has televised. In addition to his NFL assignments, Zyontz has been the coordinating producer for FOX NASCAR since 2001 and was the lead producer for the NHL on FOX from 1995-99.
Prior to his time at FOX Sports, Zyontz spent 16 years at CBS Sports, working on several high-profile events including the Super Bowl, NASCAR, regular and postseason NBA and NCAA basketball. “Z,” as he affectionately is known, also gained valuable studio experience working on the Emmy Award-winning program “The NFL Today” from 1983 to 1985.
Zyontz graduated from Boston University in 1979 and is a native of New York City. He resides in Middleburg, Va., with his wife, June, and their sons, Jackson and Tanner.
