Bio

Faust serves as a play-by-play voice for FOX Sports’ coverage of college football, college basketball, and Major League Baseball. Since the 2020 college football season, Faust has been paired with longtime analyst Petros Papadakis.

From 2017-23, Faust worked as the TV play-by-play voice for the Los Angeles Kings, replacing the legendary Bob Miller. Faust regularly calls NHL games for TNT and, previously, NBC Sports.

From 2017 to 2021, Faust was a regular announcer for the Tennis Channel, with assignments spanning the US Open, French Open, and Australian Open.

Before joining FOX Sports, Faust was a radio broadcaster for the AHL’s Utica Comets, calling the first game in franchise history, serving as the ‘Inside the Glass’ reporter for the 2015 AHL All-Star Game, and calling games during the team’s run to the Calder Cup Finals in 2015.

During that span, Alex also served as the voice of Northeastern University men’s basketball, broadcasting the team’s first conference championship in more than two decades, and at age 26 he became one of the youngest commentators to ever work an NCAA tournament game.

Recognized as an up-and-coming talent in the sports broadcasting world, Faust won the Jim Nantz Award as a college junior in 2011, which is presented annually to the nation’s top collegiate sports broadcaster.

Faust graduated from Northeastern University in 2012 with a degree in political science and economics.
