Veteran INDYCAR driver and Great Britain native Jack Harvey joined FOX INDYCAR in 2025 as a pit reporter for FOX Sports’ inaugural season of NTT INDYCAR SERIES coverage and as an analyst for its INDY NXT by Firestone coverage. Harvey, a two-time INDY NXT by Firestone championship runner-up, also will attempt to qualify for the 2025 Indianapolis 500 in the No. 24 INVST Chevrolet for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing with Cusick Motorsports.

With 10 championships, including the 2012 British Formula 3 title, Harvey is among drivers who have won on both the oval and road courses at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning on both in 2015 in INDY NXT by Firestone. His illustrious career has seen him race on some of the most iconic tracks, from Spa to Silverstone to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Harvey entered racing through karting. Winning a championship in his first year of competition, he went on to win an additional eight karting championships over the next four years, including the Junior British, Italian and European Championships.

In 2009, Harvey embarked on his formula racing career in Formula BMW Europe with Fortec Motorsport, finishing seventh in the championship. He dominated in his second season in 2010, scoring seven wins and an additional six podium finishes before finishing runner-up in the championship standings. With that success, the British Racing Drivers’ Club named him to their “Rising Star” initiative.

In 2011, Harvey graduated to the British Formula 3 Championship with Carlin Motorsport, scoring one victory and four podiums en route to a ninth-place finish in the championship. The following year, he amassed seven wins and 12 podiums on his way to the championship before moving up to GP3, a Formula 1 feeder series, in 2013 on the European Formula 1 circuits with Lotus GP. A win at Monza and at his home track in Silverstone saw Harvey complete the season as the top rookie driver in fifth place.

Harvey moved to the United States in 2014 to begin his INDYCAR journey in the Indy Lights Series with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, finishing second in the championship standings with four wins and five additional podiums in 14 races. He was awarded the British Racing Drivers’ Club’s Earl Howe Trophy in recognition of the top-performing British driver in North American motorsports. Harvey staged another impressive Indy Lights season in 2015 with the team, again finishing runner-up in the championship.

Harvey made his INDYCAR debut in the 2017 Indianapolis 500, securing a three-race deal which included the opportunity to compete in the Indianapolis 500 for Meyer Shank Racing in association with Andretti Autosport. Later in 2017, he drove the final two races for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. The following season, Harvey signed with Meyer Shank Racing in a technical partnership with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports for select races in the 2018 and 2019 INDYCAR seasons. He competed in the full 2020 pandemic-shortened season for the Meyer Shank Racing program as well as a full season the following year in 2021.

Harvey joined Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing as the driver of the No. 45 Hy-Vee Honda for the 2022 season, his third full NTT INDYCAR SERIES season, and most of the 2023 season. He competed for Dale Coyne Racing in the No. 18 Honda for another partial season in the 2024 campaign.

A native of Bassingham, England, Harvey also has lived in France. He currently resides in Indianapolis and enjoys target shooting, baking, watching Star Wars and Marvel movies, and watching football and soccer.
