Veteran reporter Josh Sims joined FOX Sports in July 2021 as a FOX NASCAR reporter for NASCAR RACE HUB, NASCAR RACEDAY and select NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races, becoming the first African-American to cover pit road for a NASCAR national series television broadcast.

For the 2025 NASCAR season, Sims serves as a FOX NASCAR reporter for the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, as well as a sideline reporter for FOX’s coverage of college football. He previously served as co-host of NASCAR RACE HUB from June 2022 through the show’s series finale in June 2024.

In 2023, he made his NASCAR Cup Series pit reporting debut in the Daytona 500 as part of a select schedule of Cup Series races. Sims also added a full season of NASCAR Xfinity Series pit reporting to his schedule for the first time, while maintaining his NASCAR RACE HUB co-hosting duties. In the fall of 2023, Sims made his FOX college football sideline reporting debut, working several games throughout the season. He followed that up by calling play-by-play for select college basketball games.

In 2022, Sims served as a pit reporter for the full NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season and made his ARCA Menards Series debut on pit road at Daytona International Speedway, in addition to serving as a NASCAR RACE HUB and NASCAR RACEDAY reporter. In June 2022, he was named a co-host of NASCAR RACE HUB. Additionally, he called play-by-play for select college basketball games for the first time.

Sims joined FOX Sports from WJZY, the FOX affiliate in Charlotte, N.C., where he served as a sports anchor/reporter for six years (2015-2021), extensively covering NASCAR, NFL, NBA and multiple other sports.

Prior to WJZY, Sims worked for nearly three years at WTEN (FOX/ABC) in Albany, N.Y., as a sports anchor and reporter after working as a general assignment reporter for NBC40 outside Atlantic City, N.J.

Raised in East Brunswick, N.J., Sims graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in communications, after which he earned a Master’s in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University.
