The UEFA Champions League group stage draw consists of 32 of the best teams from countries including Spain, England, Germany, Italy, Portugal, France and Holland. The 22 teams that directly entered were the title holders and champions of the top seven associations, and the other teams entered based on UEFA club coefficients. The ten remaining teams qualified via playoffs completed this week. Defending champion Barcelona along with rival Real Madrid, German giant Bayern Munich, English powerhouses Chelsea and Manchester United, plus last year’s finalist Juventus are among the world’s elite teams in the tournament. The draw splits teams into eight groups of four who play each other home and away matches within their respective groups. The group stage consists of six match days beginning Tuesday, Sept. 15 and ending Wednesday, Dec. 9, and all matches air exclusively on FOX Sports platforms.
