Joel Klatt Pulls Double Duty for FOX College Football This Weekend
FOX Sports lead college football analyst Joel Klatt gives “double coverage” a new meaning this weekend as he calls games on FS1 and FOX broadcast network on back-to-back nights. Klatt begins his doubleheader on Friday, Sept. 25, as Oregon State hosts No. 21 Stanford (10:00 PM ET, FS1), and then takes a short trip south to Eugene for No. 18 Utah at No. 13 Oregon on Saturday, Sept. 26 (8:30 PM ET, FOX). Friday night, Klatt teams up with his broadcast partner from a season ago, Tim Brando, before joining his current game crew of play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson and sideline reporter Molly McGrath on Saturday.
“This week’s schedule in the Pac-12 is awesome,” Klatt said. “And to get to be front and center for two of these great games alongside two of the best play-by-play guys in the business is something I am fired up about and absolutely looking forward to.”
Saturday night’s top-20 matchup between the Utes and Ducks is the nightcap of a FOX College Football doubleheader which kicks off with No. 3 TCU at Texas Tech (4:30 PM ET). Play-by-play announcer Joe Davis, analyst Brady Quinn and sideline reporter Kris Budden call the action as the Horned Frogs and Red Raiders each head into Big 12 play with 3-0 records, including Texas Tech’s big win over Arkansas last weekend. Coverage begins at 4:00 PM ET with FOX COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREGAME hosted by Rob Stone with analysts Matt Leinart and Dave Wannstedt.
Also on the FOX Sports family of networks on Saturday, Sept. 26, West Virginia hosts Maryland at 3:00 ET on FS1, while No. 5 Baylor hosts Rice on FOX Sports Regional Networks (3:00 PM ET), FIU visits LA Tech on FCS (2:30 PM ET), and BTN televises seven games, including three featuring ranked teams No. 2 Michigan State, No. 17 Northwestern and No. 22 Wisconsin.
