FOX NFL Analyst John Lynch Honored Twice This Weekend
Pro Football Hall of Fame finalist, nine-time Pro Bowl safety and FOX NFL game analyst John Lynch becomes the ninth member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Ring of Honor, it was announced today by the Buccaneers franchise, with whom he played his first 11 seasons in the NFL. Additionally, Lynch has been named Denver Broncos honorary captain for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots, the team announced today.
Lynch starred as a key member of the Buccaneers defense, earning five trips to the Pro Bowl (1997, 1999-02) and leading the team to its first NFL Championship in Super Bowl XXXVII. In 2004, Lynch signed as a free agent with the Denver Broncos where he was named defensive co-captain and registered four more Pro Bowl selections (2004-07).
Lynch joined FOX Sports’ NFL coverage as a full-time game analyst in 2009 and has been partnered with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt since 2013. The duo’s chemistry and preparation quickly became playoff-caliber, receiving postseason assignments in both years games were available.
