FOX Sports Goes Coast-to-Coast for Expanded Copa America Final and Third Place Match
FOX Sports announces broadcast teams for this weekend’s third place and final matches of the 2016 COPA AMERICA CENTENARIO: CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE AMERICAS, originating live from multiple locations.
The month-long tournament comes to a close on Sunday, June 26, as Lionel Messi’s No. 1-ranked Argentina faces defending champions and No. 5-ranked Chile in a rematch of the 2015 Copa America final. FOX Sports’ coverage begins at 6:30 PM ET on FS1 with commentary originating from two locations – Los Angeles and East Rutherford, N.J. . Rob Stone hosts pre-match, halftime and post-match commentary alongside Alexi Lalas, Fernando Fiore and Aly Wagner live from the FOX Broadcast Center in Los Angeles, with Jenny Taft and Landon Donovan co-hosting live from MetLife Stadium. John Strong and Brad Friedel are on the call, joined by Francisco X. Rivera on the sideline. The final edition of COPA TONIGHT is set to recap the day’s action with host Fiore alongside Lalas, Wagner and Stu Holden.

Third-place match coverage kicks off Saturday, June 25, as the United States looks to rebound from Tuesday night‘s loss to Argentina, taking on Colombia for the second time in the Copa America Centenario. Renowned play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera calls the action with former U.S. National Team star Stu Holden providing analysis and Jenny Taft reporting.
FS1 opens the night with an hour pregame show at 7:00 PM, followed by the USA-Colombia match on FX at 8:00 PM ET, and concluding with a 60-minute edition of COPA TONIGHT back on FS1 at 11:00 PM ET.

The United States’ 2-0 loss to Colombia delivered 1.536 million viewers on June 3; then on June 7, 1.6 million viewers tuned in to see the United States’ crucial 4-0 win over Costa Rica. The third match, in which the Americans clinched a spot in the quarterfinals with a 1-0 win over Paraguay on June 11, averaged 2.061 million viewers. On June 16, the Americans’ 1-0 quarterfinal win over Ecuador was seen by 2.132 million viewers. The record for most-watched men’s soccer match in FS1 history was set June 21 when the Americans’ faced No. 1-ranked Argentina, a match seen by 3.290 million viewers.
