Los Angeles – Chile’s 4-2 shootout win over Argentina in the final of the 2016 COPA AMERICA CENTENARIO: CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE AMERICAS delivered 2,979,000 viewers on FS1 Sunday night, according to Nielsen Media Research. The record for most-watched men’s soccer match in FS1 history was set June 21 when the Americans faced No. 1-ranked Argentina, a match seen by 3.290 million viewers.
Digitally, more than 11.6 million minutes of Sunday’s final were streamed on FOX Sports GO, marking the platform’s highest ever minutes consumption for a single event, beating out Game 1 of the 2015 World Series (10.7 million minutes streamed). Overall, the COPA AMERICA CENTENARIO is the highest-performing soccer event in FOX Sports GO history, beating out the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup in every video metric, including unique streamers and minutes streamed.
