Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal Highlight FA Cup’s Return to FOX Sports
The FA Cup, the world’s oldest cup competition, returns to FOX Sports this weekend with a stellar lineup featuring English Premier League teams Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City opens third-round action taking on West Ham United on Friday, Jan. 6 beginning at 2:30 PM ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Ian Joy hosts studio coverage from Los Angeles alongside Warren Barton and Stu Holden. On FOX Deportes, John Laguna and Mariano Trujillo call the action in Spanish.
On Saturday, Jan. 7, Manchester United kicks off a day of four matches across the FOX Sports family of networks when the club attempts to defend the trophy it claimed back in May facing Reading. Coverage begins at 7:00 AM ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Immediately following, Sutton United faces AFC Wimbledon on FS1 and FOX Deportes, while Barrow squares off against Rochdale on FS2. Preston closes out the day’s action when they battle Arsenal on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 12:00 PM ET. Joy hosts studio coverage alongside Barton, Brad Friedel and Alexi Lalas. Alvaro Izquierdo, Jairo Moncada, Laguna, Trujillo, Christian Bozzo and Samuel Jacobo call matches for FOX Deportes.
Coverage continues Sunday, Jan. 8, at 8:00 AM ET with Liverpool facing Plymouth Argyle on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Tottenham and Aston Villa take center stage at 10:30 AM ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Chelsea-Peterborough headlines the action on FS2 at 10:00 AM ET. Joy hosts studio coverage alongside Barton and former Chelsea FA Cup winner Mario Melchiot. On FOX Deportes, Claudio Suarez, Ariel Torrone, Izquierdo and Moncada call the action in Spanish.
On Monday, Jan. 9, Cambridge United hosts Championship club Leeds United at 2:30 PM ET on FS2 and FOX Deportes.
