“Don’t worry about college quarterbacks. You’ve got a guy that can play. And with this other argument ‘Oh, I give up draft picks,’ I go back to this – the Washington Redskins gave up all sorts of draft picks for RGIII. He was, after one year, a bust, right? They made the playoffs two years ago and almost made it this year, down to Week 17. You can give up six players in the draft. If you get the quarterback right, draft picks are far less relevant. Just get the quarterback. Garoppolo, you’ve seen enough – a hell of a lot more with Garoppolo than with Mitch Trubisky. Go get him. Five picks. You’ve got about 12 picks next year. Give half of them up, who cares? Get the quarterback right.”

Eric Mangini says Super Bowl distractions may challenge Atlanta:
“It’s hard. You get all of your work done the first week, so 95 percent of the game plan is done by the time you go to the site of the Super Bowl. And then when you’re at the Super Bowl you’re fine-tuning it, but there are so many distractions this week. You’ve got family, you’ve got friends and all of the media responsibilities. Things are so different during this second week. If you haven’t done all of that work and prepped the way you’re supposed to, just get to a fine-tuning level, it’s really hard. And that’s the challenge for Atlanta because everything is so new for them. Luckily they have some Super Bowl experience on that staff and with the front office.”

GARBAGE TIME WITH KATIE NOLAN
Kyle Turley on his experience with cannabis:
“I was introduced to it in my second year of my career. It helped. But we were being pushed to the opiates during my career. Post-career, unfortunately I had a lot of neurological issues that started to surface up in my career, and things started getting worse post career. So that from pain killers and muscle relaxants that are getting pushed around constantly. Then it was psych meds as well. And all these things that made me a zombie, so at my lowest, I had to make a choice to either kill myself or just go disappear. And I was shown the light, and my life was saved by cannabis. It was because I made an informed, educated choice on how to use it and what works and what doesn’t.”
