UFC Welterweight Champion Woodley Serves as Analyst for FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: SWANSON VS. LOBOV

Stann and Grisham Call the Fights on Saturday

LOS ANGELES – UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley (@TWooodley) and retired lightweight contender Yves Edwards (@thugjitsumaster) serve as analysts on the FOX Sports desk with host Karyn Bryant (@KarynBryant) for UFC FIGHT NIGHT: SWANSON VS. LOBOV on FS1 and FS2 on Saturday, April 22. Reporter Laura Sanko (@laura_sanko) interviews fighters on-site.

Retired middleweight Brian Stann (@BrianStann) joins blow-by-blow announcer Todd Grisham (@GrishamMMA) to call the fights live from Nashville, Tenn. UFC bantamweight Erik “Goyito” Perez (@Goyito_Perez) and Victor Davila (@mastervic10) call the Spanish language telecast on FOX Deportes.

The five-round headliner features the surging No. 4-ranked featherweight Cub Swanson (24-7) versus hard-hitting European standout Artem Lobov (14-12-1, 1NC) in an explosive showdown. According to FOX UFC Analyst Daniel Cormier, these two will deliver an exciting headliner. “Cub Swanson is willing to engage the young guy in these types of all-action fights. You know Artem Lobov is going to come forward, throw big punches and try to secure a knockout. But Cub’s not going anywhere. The three-hour main card begins on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 10:00 PM ET and features five more exciting fights. No. 14-ranked lightweight Al Iaquinta (12-3-1) fights Diego Sanchez (29-9), while No. 8-ranked Ovince Saint Preux (19-10) and Marcos Rogerio De Lima (15-5-1) square off in a light heavyweight bout. No. 7-ranked bantamweight John Dodson (19-8) fights No. 10 Eddie Wineland (23-11-1), while lightweight veteran Joe Lauzon (27-13) and Stevie Ray (20-6) go to battle. No. 13-ranked Jake Ellenberger (31-12) and Mike Perry (9-1) open the main card with an exciting welterweight bout.

The two-hour UFC FIGHT NIGHT PRELIMS are on FS2 and FOX Deportes at 8:00 PM ET, with four bouts. No. 11-ranked middleweight Thales Leites (26-7) and No. 13 Sam Alvey (30-8, 1NC) collide. No. 8-ranked flyweight Dustin Ortiz (16-6) takes on No. 10 Brandon Moreno (13-3), while Scott Holtzman (9-2) fights Michael McBride (8-2) in a lightweight tilt. No. 14-ranked Jessica Penne (12-5) and Danielle Taylor (8-2) open the PRELIMS with a strawweight bout.

Saturday’s coverage begins on FS2 (7:00 PM ET) with the UFC FIGHT NIGHT PREFIGHT SHOW, with Bryant, Woodley, Edwards, and Sanko. The action wraps up after immediately following the main event with the FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT POSTFIGHT SHOW. The FS1 UFC WEIGH-IN SHOW takes place on Friday, April 21 (8:00 PM ET) on FS1 with the same studio crew.

On Wednesday (7:00 PM ET, FS1), UFC TONIGHT’s Bryant and guest host Woodley preview Saturday’s FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT and interview Swanson.
