World’s Best Compete for the 117th U.S. Amateur Championship on FOX & FS1
Joe Buck, Paul Azinger and Brad Faxon Anchor 18th Tower
PACIFIC PALISADES, CALIF. – Today, FOX Sports’ expansive slate of USGA championship coverage continues with the 117th U.S. Amateur Championship at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., teeing off with coverage from the round of 64 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM ET on FS1.
On Thursday, Aug. 17, digital coverage of the round of 32 streams on usga.org from 2:00 to 4:00 PM ET, followed by coverage of the round of 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM ET on FS1. On Friday, Aug. 18, quarterfinal rounds air from 6:00 to 9:00 PM ET on FS1.
Weekend coverage airs on the FOX broadcast network, with semifinal round coverage on Saturday, Aug. 19 airing from 12:00 to 3:00 PM ET. On Sunday, Aug, 20, early coverage of the 36-hole championship match can be found on usga.org from 12:30 to 2:30 PM ET, before shifting to FOX from 4:30 to 7:30 PM ET for the crowning of the 117th U.S. Amateur champion. All coverage on FS1 and FOX will be streamed concurrently on FOX Sports GO.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Shane Bacon performs play-by-play duties alongside lead analyst and major champion Paul Azinger, and eight-time PGA Tour winner Brad Faxon. Seven-time Emmy Award-winning announcer Joe Buck joins the 18th Tower for the remaining rounds Friday through Sunday.
They are joined on-course by two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange and Buddy Marucci, a veteran of over 60 USGA championships, while Bacon also contributes as a hole announcer. Additional coverage includes rules expert and former USGA executive director David Fay, with reporter Holly Sonders conducting post-round interviews.

Our nation’s oldest golf championship, the U.S. Amateur is one of three USGA championships contested in Southern California this summer, preceded by the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship at San Diego Country Club and followed by the Walker Cup, to be contested at Los Angeles Country Club and airing Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10 on FS1.
