FOX Sports Delivers Most-Watched Regular-Season MLS Telecast in More Than a Decade
MLS Split National Telecast Attracts More Than 1.4 Million Viewers on FOX Broadcast Network, FOX Deportes and FOX Sports GO
NEW YORK, NY – Sunday’s MLS split national telecast, featuring the Atlanta United vs. Montreal Impact from 5:00-7:00 PM ET in markets airing a 1:00 PM ET NFL game and Sporting Kansas City vs. LA Galaxy from 2:00-4:00 PM ET in markets airing a 4:00 PM ET NFL game, attracted 1,352,000 viewers on the FOX broadcast network. The presentation is the most-watched regular-season MLS telecast of any kind on any network since 2004 and is up +4% from last year’s comparable split national on Sept. 18, 2016.
Overall, 1,449,000 viewers tuned in to the split national telecast on the FOX broadcast network, FOX Deportes and FOX Sports GO. Later in the day on FS1, Portland’s 3-0 win over Orlando drew 110,000 viewers, a +13% gain over last September’s Sunday average on the channel.
