FOX Sports Lands First Live Interview with Global Soccer Icon Wayne Rooney Since Joining D.C. United

FOX Sports, home of 2018 MLS Cup, has landed the first live television interview in the United States with former Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney, following his arrival in Washington, D.C. yesterday as a member of D.C. United.

England and Manchester United’s all-time leading scorer will appear today during halftime of the Seattle Sounders-Portland Timbers match with coverage beginning at 4:30 PM ET on FOX. The interview will be conducted via satellite by Mark Followill and Warren Barton from CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

Once action begins on the field, Followill calls the match alongside Barton with Katie Witham reporting from the sideline (4:50 PM ET).
