Pebble Beach Welcomes World’s Best Amateurs for the 118th U.S. Amateur Championship on FOX & FS1

Pebble Beach, Calif. – Today, FOX Sports’ expansive slate of USGA championship coverage continues with the 118th U.S. Amateur Championship at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, Calif., teeing off with coverage from the round of 64 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM ET on FS1.

On Thursday, Aug. 16, digital coverage of the round of 32 streams on usga.org from 3:00 to 5:00 PM ET, before shifting to FS1 for coverage of the round of 16 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM ET, and followed by quarterfinals coverage on Friday, Aug. 17 in the same window on FS1.

Weekend coverage airs on the FOX broadcast network, with semifinals on Saturday, Aug. 18 airing from 12:00 to 3:00 PM ET. On Sunday, Aug, 19, early coverage of the 36-hole championship match can be found on usga.org from 12:30 to 2:30 PM, before moving to FOX from 4:30 to 7:30 PM ET for the crowning of the 118th U.S. Amateur champion. All television coverage will be streamed concurrently on the FOX Sports App.

FOX Sports’ coverage is led by major champion Paul Azinger and eight-time PGA Tour winner Brad Faxon, who provide analysis throughout the championship. Play-by-play announcer Shane Bacon is on the call for weekday action, while seven-time Emmy Award winning announcer Joe Buck anchors the 18th Tower for the semifinals and championship match.

They are joined by a trio of on-course reporters: two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange, four-time European Tour winner Ken Brown and Buddy Marucci, a veteran of over 60 USGA championships. Also joining coverage is rules expert and former USGA executive director David Fay, while reporter Holly Sonders conducts special features and player interviews.
