Wayne Rooney Makes MLS Playoff Debut Thursday on FS1
D.C. United, Columbus Crew, NYCFC and Philadelphia Union Vie for Conference Semifinals Spots on FS1
LOS ANGELES – The MLS postseason kicks off on FS1 this week with two single-elimination matches in the Knockout Round of the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs. New York City FC face Philadelphia Union Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 7:00 PM ET, followed by D.C. United vs. Columbus Crew SC Thursday, Nov. 1, at 8:00 PM ET. The winners of each match advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
On Thursday, Wayne Rooney makes his MLS postseason debut as D.C. United host the first playoff match ever at Audi Field against Gyasi Zardes’ Columbus Crew SC. Lead play-by-play announcer John Strong, former MLS midfielder Stu Holden and reporter Katie Witham are on the call.
David Villa’s NYCFC look to continue their playoff run when they face Haris Medunjanin’s Philadephia Union Wednesday. Seattle Sounders and FOX Sports play-by-play commentator Keith Costigan and NYCFC and FOX Sports analyst Ian Joy have the call.
