Erik Morales and Robert Garcia Join FOX Deportes As Boxing Analysts

LOS ANGELES –Boxing Hall of Fame member Erik “El Terrible” Morales and renowned boxing trainer and former world champion Robert Garcia join FOX Deportes’ talent roster as boxing analysts for Premier Boxing Champions (PBC).

“With two boxing legends in Erik and Robert and three of the most preeminent voices Spanish-language television in Jessi, Jaime and Adrian, FOX Deportes will offer unparalleled boxing coverage,” said FOX Deportes VP of Production Orlando Silver. “They are the dream team and we couldn’t be more excited to bring their expertise and excitement to the viewers.”

The network’s new boxing lineup features eight top PBC boxing cards through the first four months of the year and PBC ESTA NOCHE, a sixty-minute preview show in the lead up to each PBC fight card. FOX Deportes’ PBC coverage kicks off Saturday, Dec. 22 at 7:00 PM ET with twins Jermell and Jermall Charlo looking to defend their world titles live from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Other top fights include WBA Welterweight champion Keith Thurman against Josesito Lopez on Jan. 26, WBA Featherweight champion Leo Santa Cruz against Miguel Flores on Feb. 16 and the highly-anticipated FOX Pay Per View showdown between IBF Welterweight Champion Errol Spence against four-weight world champion and current WBC Lightweight champion Mikey Garcia on Mar.16.

Broadcast veterans Adrian Garcia Marquez (host/blow-by-blow announcer) Jaime Motta (analyst/blow-by-blow) and Jessi Losada (Analyst) join the two boxing legends to call the action.

Inducted last year into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, Morales is considered one of the top fighters of the last few decades and is the first Mexican-born fighter to win titles in four weight classes. During his career, he defeated world champions Daniel Zaragoza, Junior Junes, Kevin Kelley, Marco Antonio Barrera, Manny Pacquiao and many others. His trilogy against fellow Mexican legend Barrera is considered one of boxing’s all-time great rivalries.

A top-notch boxing trainer, Garcia has been honored as the Trainer of the Year by The Ring Magazine in 2011 and the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2012. His training resume includes numerous world champions including brother Mikey Garcia, Marcos Maidana, Nonito Donaire, Abner Mares, Antonio Margarito and many more. Prior to his training career, Garcia enjoyed a successful boxing career that included winning the IBF Junior Lightweight title and finishing with a record of 34-3.

Garcia Marquez is one of the most recognizable voices in Spanish-language television. He recently served as the Spanish voice of the Los Angeles Lakers from 2013-2018 and won the “NBA Call of the Year” on two separate occasions. He returns to FOX Deportes where he called five World Series and MLB All-Star Games from 2005-2010.

One of boxing’s most recognizable bilingual talents, Motta has more than two decades of broadcasting experience and has been part of the broadcast team for some of the sport’s biggest fights. Motta also serves as a key member of the FOX Deportes team for both NFL and College Football.

Six-time Emmy Award winner, Losada began his career as the Spanish-language voice of the Los Angeles Rams and has since covered numerous Olympic Games, World Cups and world championship boxing events. He currently serves as the play-by-play announcer for the network’s presentation of Thursday Night Football.

Erik Morales Y Roberto Garcia Encabezan La Nueva Lista de Talento Del Boxeo De FOX Deportes

LOS ÁNGELES – El miembro del Salón de la Fama de Boxeo Erik Morales y el entrenador reconocido y ex campeón mundial Robert García encabezan se une a la lista impresionante del talento de boxeo en FOX Deportes.

El talento tomará parte en ocho carteleras de Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) por los primeros cuatro meses del anyo y PBC ESTA NOCHE, un programa de sesenta minutos en anticipación de cada cartelera. La cobertura de PBC en FOX Deportes arranca el 22 de diciembre a las 7 PM, hora del Este con una cartelera encabezada por los gemelos Jermell y Jermall Charlo defendiendo sus título mundiales en vivo desde el Barclays Center en Brooklyn.

Se considera su trilogía contra su paisano y también leyenda Marco Antonio Barrera uno de las rivalidades más grandes en la historia del boxeo.

Uno de los mejores entrenadores actuales del boxeo, Robert García ganó el premio al Entrenador del Año en 2011 del Ring Magazine y en 2012 de la Asociación de Periodistas del Boxeo de América. Su currículum como entrenador incluye a numerosos campeones mundiales incluyendo a Mikey Garcia, Marcos Maidana, Nonito Donaire, Abner Mares, Antonio Margarito y muchos más. Antes de convertirse en entrenador, García tuvo una carrera exitosa como boxeador en la cual ganó el título IBF del Peso Super Gallo y terminó con una marca de 34-3.

García Márquez posee uno de las voces mas reconocidas de la televisión de habla hispana. Márquez recientemente sirvió como la voz en español del Los Ángeles Lakers del 2013 a 2018 donde ganó la “Narración del Ano” de la NBA en dos ocasiones. García Márquez anteriormente trabajó en FOX Deportes donde narró la Serie Mundial y el Partido de las Estrellas de las Grandes Ligas de 2005 a 2019.

Uno de los talentos bilingües más respetados del boxeo, Motta lleva dos décadas de experiencia y ha participado en algunas de las peleas mas importantes. Motta también sirve como un miembro integral de los equipos de NFL y el fútbol universitario de FOX Deportes.

El recipiente de seis Premios Emmys, Losada empezó su carrera como la voz en español del Los Ángeles Rams y desde entonces ha cubierto varios Mundiales, Juegos Olímpicos y peleas de campeonatos de boxeo. En FOX Deportes Losada sirve como el narrador del Thursday Night Football.
