FOX Sports’ New College Football Studio Analyst Reggie Bush Joins THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD

Today on THE HERD WITH COLIN COWHERD, new FOX Sports college football studio analyst Reggie Bush discussed highlights from his college football career, his relationship with USC, upcoming prospects and more.

On the legendary USC vs. Notre Dame matchup in 2005:

It was one of the only times I actually cried after a game. I just broke down in emotions because we had put so much into that game and everything leading up to it and the way we won. Knowing that was one of the greatest games I had ever played in – I realized that right after the game. There were a lot of great players in that game, obviously Brady Quinn, and it was such a great game.

On his relationship with USC:

USC will always have a special place in my heart because I made so many relationships with players who are still some of my best friends to this day; with coaches who are still some of my best friends to this day; and people who still work at the university who I still talk to. It was a great place for me. It was a great landing spot. It was truly meant to be… There was something intuitive – the feeling in my gut that this is where I was meant to be. I committed right there on the spot. Then fast forward a couple of years and I was able to win the Heisman Trophy and play in a lot of great games. I said in high school that I was going to win a Heisman Trophy, so this wasn’t something that was just on my mind when I got to USC. This was something I had put out into the atmosphere long before that. It is true that words do have power.

On Kyler Murray and his skillset: 

All Kyler Murray’s been told his whole career is that he’s too short and too small – and look at how far he’s gotten to this point. You don’t win the Heisman Trophy, you don’t get drafted in baseball, soon to be the No. 1 pick in football, by not having tremendous leadership and tremendous work ethic… Talk to the people who know him. Talk to his head coach, talk to his family and the players who play with him, because they all say something different. They all say this guy can play and he makes the guys around him better. To me, when I turn on the film, I see a great player regardless of his size.
