FOX Sports Scores Five Sports Emmy Awards
MLB on FOX’s Presentation of 114th World Series Earns Outstanding Live Sports Special
LOS ANGELES – The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented its 40th Annual Sports Emmy Awards on Monday evening in New York, and FOX Sports took top honors in five different categories.
Receiving 25 nominations across FOX Sports’ networks, the collection of wins included those for coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the 114th World Series, on-air personalities, and audio production.
Once again, NASCAR on FOX was honored with the Outstanding Live Event Audio/Sound Sports Emmy – a category FOX Sports has won every year since 2006, and 17 of the last 18 years. NASCAR RACE HUB was also honored for Outstanding Post-Produced Audio/Sound.
In college basketball, Bill Raftery was named Outstanding Sports Personality – Sports Event Analyst for the third time in the last four years, and for the second time in three years, FOX Sports took home the Outstanding Live Sports Special Emmy for its coverage of the World Series. FOX Sports’ cross-platform coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup earned a Sports Emmy in the Outstanding Trans-Media Sports Coverage category.
