Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka Headline FOX Sports’ U.S. Open Featured Group Coverage on FS1
Network to Provide Golf Fans Alternate Feed to Exclusively Follow Featured Groups Live During First Round
LOS ANGELES – To celebrate the start of the 119th U.S. Open Championship, FOX Sports announces a special telecast highlighting first round action from some of golf’s brightest stars on Thursday, June 13.
From 7:30 to 10:30 PM ET, when primary television coverage moves from FS1 to the FOX broadcast network, FS1 will air featured groups coverage of Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth and Justin Rose as well as Brooks Koepka, Francesco Molinari and Viktor Hovland.
The special telecast gives viewers an opportunity to focus in on some of the game’s greats as they tackle iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links, with back-to-back U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka looking to defend his title and 15-time major champion Tiger Woods hoping to add a fourth U.S. Open trophy to his collection.
FS1’s featured groups coverage is led by FOX Sports multisport mainstay Justin Kutcher, providing play-by-play for his fourth U.S. Open on FOX, alongside 1996 PGA Championship winner and analyst Mark Brooks. Longtime PGA professional Michael Breed and LPGA Tour veteran Nicole Castrale report from on-course. Renowned course architect Gil Hanse contributes as a course design analyst.
FOX Sports’ full featured groups coverage will begin as a digital stream on FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App at 12:30 PM ET, before moving to FS1 at 7:30 PM ET.
