FOX Sports Sets the Stage for 2019 MLB All-Star Game
Heavy-Hitting Roster Includes Hall of Famers, All-Stars and Emmy-Award Winners
FIRST THINGS FIRST to Air Live from Progressive Field
New York – As Major League Baseball finalizes its roster of All-Stars, FOX Sports gathers several highly touted names of its own for coverage of the 2019 All-Star Game presented by Mastercard from Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
For the fourth consecutive Mid-Summer Classic, Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star John Smoltz teams up with Emmy-Award winning play-by-play announcer Joe Buck to call the action. Two-time Emmy Award-winning reporter Ken Rosenthal and three-time Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Tom Verducci round out the broadcast crew, providing exclusive inside information and in-game reports from the dugouts. The American and National Leagues begin their battle for supremacy on Tuesday, July 9 at 8:00 PM ET on the FOX broadcast network.
FOX Sports’ highly acclaimed pregame show returns for the All-Star Game with Hall of Famer and five-time All Star Frank Thomas, World Series Champion and 14-time All-Star Alex Rodriguez and veteran host Kevin Burkhardt. The crew gears up at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 to preview the game before switching to FOX for additional pregame coverage at 7:30 PM ET.
On Monday, July 8 at 3:00 PM ET, FS1 recaps the first half of the season with the MLB ALL-STAR PREVIEW SHOW, a two-hour program led by Burkhardt, Rodriguez and Thomas that features highlights of baseball’s best moments to date, media day coverage and live All-Star player interviews with Nick Swisher.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter and celebrated sports media personalities Nick Wright and Jenna Wolfe kick-off the network’s coverage on Monday, July 8 and Tuesday July 9 at 6:30 AM ET on FS1 with FIRST THINGS FIRST, live from Progressive Field.

FOX Deportes’ MLB All-Star Game presentation begins Tuesday, July 9, with a special one-hour pregame show at 7:00 PM ET leading into the game telecast at 8:00 PM ET. Former Major League Baseball player Edgar Gonzalez joins FOX Deportes as game analyst for the Mid-Summer Classic, with Rolando Nichols serving as the play-by-play announcer. Carlos Alvarez revives his role as game reporter.

FOX Sports’ social team and digital group ramp up All-Star coverage on Monday, July 8 through an assortment of platforms and ways in which fans can participate. Fans will have the opportunity to ask Ken Rosenthal questions via Twitter, that will then be answered in an edited piece to be posted on all digital platforms. Exclusive access continues on Tuesday, July 9 as Alex Rodriguez, Frank Thomas and Kevin Burkhardt provide their picks and insight via Instagram stories on who will be the All-Star Game MVP.
Throughout the entirety of the All-Star festivities, Nick Swisher will be on the scene in Cleveland, providing exclusive digital videos, interacting with players/fans and more. These videos can be seen on FOXSports.com and @MLBonFOX social platforms.
