FOX Sports Announces Big East & Big Ten Hoops Schedules
Top Conference & Non-Conference Matchups, Gavitt Tipoff Games and More Highlight FOX Sports Lineup
FOX and FS1 Televise Complete BIG EAST Tournament from Madison Square Garden for Seventh Consecutive Season
New York – FOX Sports is once again home to some of the best college basketball in the country, today announcing its full BIG EAST and Big Ten men’s basketball schedules. Among the highlights are the full BIG EAST Tournament from New York City’s Madison Square Garden on FOX and FS1, the Gavitt Tipoff Games between the BIG EAST and Big Ten, and other top matchups from some of the best teams around the country. Overall, FOX Sports televises more than 100 BIG EAST games, including up to 18 on the FOX broadcast network, and nearly 40 Big Ten matchups, including seven on broadcast television. Additional contests, including the network’s Pac-12 schedule, will be announced at a later date.
FS1 and BTN are once again the exclusive homes to the Gavitt Tipoff Games, the annual early season challenge between the BIG EAST and Big Ten conferences. FS1 televises seven of the event’s eight games, including doubleheaders on three straight nights from Tuesday, Nov. 12, through Thursday, Nov. 14. Highlighting this season’s series, Seton Hall hosts Michigan State, which is coming off a Final Four appearance last season, Thursday, Nov. 14, at 8:30 PM ET.
FOX Sports also televises the five BIG EAST home contests in the inaugural BIG EAST/Big 12 Scheduling Series, which tips off throughout the month of December. Among this season’s matchups, perennial powerhouses Villanova and Kansas square off at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 12:00 PM ET on FOX. Providence hosts Texas in the second half of that day’s doubleheader.
Top non-conference matchups continue to highlight the FOX schedule in December, beginning with the broadcast network’s first game of the season as Florida faces Butler on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 12:00 PM ET. A week later, a matchup of former conference rivals comes to FOX as Georgetown hosts Syracuse at 1:00 PM ET on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The Big Ten makes its season debut on FOX shortly after the new year begins, as Maryland hosts Indiana on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 12:00 PM ET. Additional matchups slated for FOX include Michigan State at Wisconsin on Saturday, Feb. 1, Michigan State at Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 9, and Purdue at Ohio State on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 12:00 PM ET.
FOX Sports is home to the BIG EAST Tournament from Madison Square Garden beginning with a pair of first-round games Wednesday, March 11, on FS1. FS1 also presents the quarterfinals (Thursday, March 12) and semifinals (Friday, March 13) before FOX airs the championship on Saturday, March 14, at 6:30 PM ET.
