FOX Sports College Hoops Coverage Led by Iconic Voices on the Mic
Gus Johnson, Bill Raftery and Jim Jackson Return to Lead FOX Sports College Basketball Game Coverage
NEW YORK – As college basketball is set to tip off Tuesday, Nov. 5, FOX Sports unveils its lineup of broadcasters calling games and providing studio analysis for the 2019-20 season. The most exciting voice in sports, Gus Johnson returns as the network’s lead play-by-play announcer with Emmy Award-winning analyst Bill Raftery and former NCAA All-American and NBA veteran Jim Jackson serving as FOX Sports’ lead game broadcasters.
In studio, hosts Rob Stone, Mike Hill and Kevin Burkhardt work alongside a rotation of analysts, highlighted by Steve Lavin, Casey Jacobsen, Donny Marshall and Jackson. College basketball insider Andy Katz also contributes to the network’s coverage, while Mike DeCourcy, renowned writer for Sporting News and Big Ten Network contributor, takes on a new role this season as FOX Sports’ bracketologist.
Also new to the network’s college basketball coverage, former NCAA head coach Tim Miles joins FOX Sports as a game analyst this season. Miles most recently served as head coach at Nebraska, spending seven seasons in Lincoln after leading Colorado State for five seasons, including an appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Lavin, Marshall, Jacobsen, Nick Bahe and Len Elmore also call games on FOX, FS1 and FS2 this season, while Burkhardt, Tim Brando, Joe Davis, Brian Custer, Aaron Goldsmith, Brian Anderson, Kevin Kugler and Brandon Gaudin serve as play-by-play announcers.
College basketball on the FOX Sports family of networks begins Tuesday, Nov. 5, highlighted by a BIG EAST doubleheader on FS1. No. 12 Seton Hall, the preseason conference favorite, hosts Wagner at 6:30 PM ET, followed by Army at No. 10 Villanova at 8:30 PM ET. Click HERE for FOX Sports’ complete college basketball schedule.
This season, FOX Sports televises top games from the BIG EAST, Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences, plus women’s games from the BIG EAST and Big 12. Highlighting the 2019-20 schedule are seven Gavitt Tipoff Games, the early-season conference challenge between the BIG EAST and Big Ten, including preseason No. 1 Michigan State at No. 12 Seton Hall. In December, FOX Sports televises five matchups in the newly created BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle, including No. 3 Kansas at No. 10 Villanova, Texas at Providence and Oklahoma at Creighton.
In addition to conference contests from the BIG EAST, Big Ten and Pac-12, highly anticipated non-conference matchups include No. 6 Florida at Butler, Syracuse at Georgetown, Wisconsin at Marquette, Texas at No. 23 Purdue, Cincinnati at No. 18 Ohio State and more. FOX Sports also televises the full BIG EAST Tournament, select games from the Pac-12 Tournament, including the championship, and games from the BIG EAST and Big 12 Women’s tournaments.
