Terry Bradshaw, Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and Jay Glazer Join Cadets at West Point to Help Celebrate Our Armed Forces
LOS ANGELES – FOX NFL SUNDAY, the No. 1 NFL pregame show the last 25 years, will honor the U.S. military with a special two-hour Veterans Day broadcast live from The U.S. Military Academy at West Point beginning at 11:00 AM ET on Sunday, Nov. 10. More than 1,000 cadets will participate in FOX Sports’ longstanding tradition of broadcasting from a military installation as America collectively pauses to pay tribute to those who have served our country.
This year’s broadcast will showcase football tie-ins on West Point’s storied history, including features with Pittsburgh Steelers and West Point graduate Alejandro Villanueva, and a FOX NFL SUNDAY cast integration during lunch with cadets at their infamous Mess Hall. Duke head basketball coach and fellow West Point graduate Mike Krzyzewski will appear on a special show open to begin the broadcast. Among the audience of cadets will be members of The Mission Continues, a FOX Sports Supports partner that works with veterans to be advocates for positive change in their communities.
“We’re honored to broadcast FOX NFL SUNDAY from West Point as part of our ongoing effort to support the United States military and veterans around the world,” said Eric Shanks, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Producer, FOX Sports. “Our commitment and support of the military is a cornerstone of FOX Sports and exemplifies our brand’s deeper connection to the culture and community of sports-at-large.”
As part of the weekend at West Point, Terry Bradshaw, Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and Jay Glazer will appear at this year’s Army/UMASS game as part of pregame festivities. The cast will participate in the coin toss and join the cadets during the game.
Historically, FOX Sports has saluted the troops from Fort Benning (2018, 2014), Naval Station Norfolk (2017), Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (2015), Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan (2009), and the USS Harry S. Truman in the Mediterranean Sea (2000), among multiple other locations.
