FOX Sports Celebrates Veterans Day Across the Country
On Veterans Day and every day at FOX Sports, we honor the men and women who have served our country’s military. This weekend, that deep connection at the intersection of sports and community was on full-display. The FOX NFL SUNDAY team of Terry Bradshaw, Curt Menefee, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and Jay Glazer spent the weekend at The U.S. Military Academy at West Point, visiting cadets at their famous Mess Hall and participating in the Army/UMASS pregame festivities. This was followed by a special two-hour live pregame Sunday broadcast honoring the military, continuing the FOX Sports tradition of Veterans Day shows at special military locations. More than 1,000 cadets were in attendance, along with members of The Mission Continues, a FOX Sports Supports partner that works with veterans to become advocates for positive community change.
Our military heroes were also granted exclusive behind-the-scenes access to FOX Sports’ studios in New York and Los Angeles, where they were special live audience guests during all of FS1’s daily studio shows and met with FOX Sports’ on-air personalities. Active duty service men and women joined veterans and members of The Mission Continues and Blue Star Families, a nonprofit organization building communities that support military families, as the FOX Sports family opened its doors to embrace and thank them for their service and sacrifice to our country.
