NEW YORK – With one of the Big Ten’s biggest showdowns of the season on the horizon, FOX Sports today announces enhanced digital coverage surrounding this weekend’s BIG NOON SATURDAY matchup between No. 8 Penn State and No. 2 Ohio State.
Former Penn State All-America linebacker LaVar Arrington and former Ohio State All-Big Ten running back Beanie Wells host a Wendy’s Watch Party live on Twitter beginning at Noon ET on @CFBONFOX. Arrington and Wells walk the sidelines of Ohio Stadium for the duration of the contest, showing viewers what goes on behind the scenes of a major college football game while cheering for their programs and engaging in some good-natured smack talk.
On Friday at 4:00 PM ET, FOX Sports lead college football analyst Joel Klatt is live from Ohio Stadium with the latest installment of Breaking the Huddle presented by Dr Pepper, streamed live on Facebook. On Saturday, the @CFBONFOX Twitter account streams team warmups and later presents The Ohio State University Marching Band’s halftime performance. Following the final whistle, Klatt is live from the booth on Facebook with his thoughts on the game.
During Saturday’s special two-hour edition of BIG NOON KICKOFF live from Columbus, fans at home and on location have the chance to see their tweets on air using the hashtag #BIGNOON. Select tweets will be showcased on the Wendy’s Fresh Tweets Board near the set.
BIG NOON KICKOFF, featuring host Rob Stone and analysts Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, is live on FOX beginning at 10:00 AM ET from outside the southeast entrance of Ohio Stadium near the Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC). Before and during the telecast, fans in attendance will have the chance to meet the cast and take home giveaways, including autographed footballs. In the 11:00 AM ET hour, BIG NOON KICKOFF moves inside the Horseshoe behind the end zone near the southwest tunnel for more analysis until the game kicks off at 12:00 PM ET. FOX College Football lead broadcasters Gus Johnson, Klatt and Jenny Taft call the action.
FOX Sports’ outdoor set features a demo field, used for BIG NOON KICKOFF’s popular “Urban’s Playbook” segment, as well as two large LED screens. The screens show live pregame, halftime and postgame coverage, as well as the entirety of the game for fans outside the stadium.
