St. John’s Legend Chris Mullin Joins FOX College Hoops Studio This Weekend
NEW YORK – St. John’s legend Chris Mullin joins the FOX College Hoops studio this weekend, sitting alongside host Rob Stone and analyst Donny Marshall on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10-11. Stone, Marshall and Mullin provide pregame, halftime and postgame coverage on FOX and FS1 live from the FOX Sports studios in Los Angeles.
Friday’s coverage begins at 6:30 PM ET on FS1 before No. 12 Maryland and Iowa tip off at 7:00 PM ET. The evening’s doubleheader concludes at 9:00 PM ET as Providence hosts No. 6 Butler. Saturday’s pregame coverage is simulcast on FOX and FS1 at 11:30 AM ET prior to a Big Ten matchup between No. 11 Ohio State and Indiana on FOX and a BIG EAST battle between Georgetown and No. 16 Villanova on FS1. The FOX College Hoops doubleheader wraps up at 2:00 PM ET when Xavier hosts Creighton on FOX.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mullin’s storied basketball career has come full circle in New York. A three-time BIG EAST Player of the Year for St. John’s, he spent 16 years in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors (1985-97 and 2000-01) and Indiana Pacers (1997-00). He is a two-time Olympic gold medalist as a member of the 1992 “Dream Team” and with the 1984 squad. He has been twice inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame – in 2010 with the Dream Team and in 2011 for his individual career. In 2015, he was named head coach of the St. John’s men’s basketball team, holding the post through the 2019 season when he led the Red Storm to the program’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2015.
