FS1 Showcases All-Access College Hoops for Fourth Consecutive Season
All-Access Program Expands to Include Big Ten and Pac-12 Men’s Basketball in Addition to BIG EAST Men’s-Women’s Doubleheader
NEW YORK – FOX Sports continues to grow its college hoops all-access telecasts, this season featuring four games from three of the nation’s top conferences on FS1. Over the next few weeks, FOX Sports once again showcases BIG EAST men’s and women’s programs in a one-of-a-kind, commercial-free format, while also expanding the program to include one men’s game each from the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences.
Each head coach wears a live microphone, giving viewers the chance to hear directly from the sidelines and locker rooms from tipoff through the final whistle with virtually no interruption. Commercial-free presentations allow FOX Sports cameras and microphones to capture behind-the-scenes conversations not typically available to a television audience, including instant access to team huddles and locker rooms.
FOX Sports debuted its all-access initiative in 2016 with a single BIG EAST women’s game and has continued to enhance the program since, this year featuring the Creighton, Xavier, Colorado, Oregon State, Illinois and Penn State men’s programs as well as the St. John’s and Seton Hall women’s teams.
For the first time, FOX College Hoops All-Access features a doubleheader with back-to-back BIG EAST men’s and women’s matchups on Sunday, Jan. 26, on FS1. In men’s basketball, at 4:00 PM ET, Travis Steele’s Xavier visits Greg McDermott’s Creighton at the CHI Health Center Omaha with Kevin Kugler and Nick Bahe on the call. At 6:30 PM ET, Lisa Byington and Kimberly Adams call St. John’s, led by Joe Tartamella, at Anthony Bozzella’s Seton Hall women’s basketball from Walsh Gymnasium.
Pac-12 men’s basketball goes all-access for the first time ever on Saturday, Feb. 15, as Oregon State, led by head coach Wayne Tinkle, hosts Tad Boyle and No. 23 Colorado. Play-by-play Aaron Goldsmith and analyst Casey Jacobsen have the call at 10:00 PM ET on FS1.
The Big Ten participates in its first all-access game days later, on Tuesday, Feb. 18, as Patrick Chambers and Penn State host Brad Underwood’s No. 21-ranked Illinois. The late-season battle between a pair of programs jockeying for NCAA Tournament positioning tips off at 6:30 PM ET on FS1 with Joe Davis and Donny Marshall courtside.
