FOX Sports Set to Call Major League Soccer’s Momentous 25th Season Celebration on Road to MLS Cup
John Strong, Stu Holden and Katie Witham Return as Lead Broadcast Team
Two-Time MLS Cup Champion Brad Evans Joins FOX Sports as Match Analyst
NEW YORK – Today, FOX Sports announces a top-notch broadcast roster for its presentation of Major League Soccer’s 25th Season Celebration, which culminates with the 2020 MLS Cup. The campaign kicks off Saturday, Feb. 29, as Nashville makes its league debut against 2018 MLS Cup champion Atlanta United with coverage beginning at 8:00 PM ET on FOX. FOX Sports’ full lineup of play-by-play announcers, match analysts and studio commentators is announced by David Neal, Vice President of Production and FIFA World Cup Executive Producer, FOX Sports.
“The 25th Season Celebration of Major League Soccer is bound to be a memorable one, and we’ve assembled a roster of broadcasters that will deliver unparalleled coverage to our viewers,” said Neal. “We are excited to add a few new faces to some very recognizable ones, forming a full lineup that possesses extensive knowledge and experience in soccer.”
Play-by-play announcer John Strong, match analyst Stu Holden and reporter Katie Witham lead FOX Sports’ MLS broadcast team. The trio kicks off its slate with Nashville-Atlanta United on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 8:30 PM ET on FOX.
This season, two-time MLS Cup winner Brad Evans makes his national television debut as a match analyst, joining two-time Olympic gold medalist Aly Wagner, Maurice Edu, Kyndra de St. Aubin and Warren Barton, who contribute in the same role.
On play-by-play, renowned broadcaster JP Dellacamera, who has called matches in each of the league’s previous 24 seasons, returns with Lisa Byington, Keith Costigan, Mark Followill, Poppy Miller and Jake Zivin also calling matches throughout the season.
Danielle Slaton, Marisa Pilla, Jackie Montgomery, Kiri Bloore and Alex Curry round out the game crews as reporters.
Rob Stone and Sara Walsh share host duties for MLS studio coverage, joined by Alexi Lalas as studio analyst.
