FOX Sports Earns 31 Sports Emmy Award Nominations
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that FOX Sports received 31 nominations for the 42nd Annual Sports Emmy Awards for its outstanding programming and live-event coverage across FOX, FS1, FS2, FOXSports.com and BTN.
FOX Sports’ received a wide range of nominations across live events, shows and original programming. FOX NFL Sunday and FOX NASCAR lead the list with four nominations, including Outstanding Live Sports Series nominations for both properties. FOX MLB received four nominations for its regular season and postseason coverage, recognizing the network’s excellence in baseball coverage, culminating with the 116th World Series in October. Once again FOX Sports is well represented in categories that recognize excellence in innovation and technology, including two nominations for the George Wensel Technical Achievement Award for NASCAR on FOX (the racing drone) and NFL on FOX (Megalodon).
In addition, the exceptional work of several FOX Sports on-air personalities was also acknowledged, including Joe Buck, Erin Andrews, John Smoltz, Ken Rosenthal, Emmanuel Acho, Joe Davis and Joshua Perry.
