FOX Sports Unveils College Football Creative Campaign Celebrating The Year of the Fan
Campaign Features Casts of BIG NOON KICKOFF and BIG NOON SATURDAY Plus Cameos by X Ambassadors and Quavo
NEW YORK – FOX Sports celebrates The Year of the Fan with its most comprehensive college football creative campaign, promoting the 2021 season by highlighting the pageantry, traditions, rivalries and most importantly the fans that make the sport unlike any other.
Featuring an all-new show open produced exclusively for BIG NOON KICKOFF, the campaign includes the cast of the pregame show – Bob Stoops, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and host Rob Stone – as well as BIG NOON SATURDAY broadcasters Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt and Jenny Taft. The high-energy open is set at the world’s greatest college football tailgate – complete with crawfish, games, mascots, cheerleaders and more – and is set to the song “Boom” by X AMBASSADORS, who performed on location during the filming in Los Angeles. The new open debuts with the season’s first edition of BIG NOON KICKOFF on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10:00 AM ET on FOX, live from Madison, Wis.
“We’ve been waiting to get back on campus and feel the energy of pregame tailgates and electric stadiums, and this season’s campaign delivers those experiences to fans watching at home,” said Robert Gottlieb, Executive Vice President, Head of Marketing, FOX Sports. “It’s all about celebrating the excitement of our big games and the things that make college football special.”
One of the campaign’s centerpieces is the promotional spot “Big Noon Energy,” which features the cast of BIG NOON KICKOFF tailgating with fans of teams from across the country, rejoicing in the togetherness that comes with watching football on Saturdays in the fall. The spot includes guest appearances from rapper/producer Quavo as well as College and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ed Reed and is voiced by actor and comedian Bill Burr. Set to the song “Shake” by Gary Clark Jr., “Big Noon Energy” is currently airing across linear and digital platforms.

Tapping into its unmatched arsenal of affiliates and MVPDs across the country, FOX Sports is producing more than 30 team- and conference-specific promotional spots designed exclusively for those platforms to engage fans by showcasing their local teams and celebrating the return to stadiums and the college football atmosphere.
FOX College Football brand partners Wendy’s, Discover, Allstate and Cadillac return with on-site and in-studio activations during the season, joining new sponsor Dos Equis. In addition to in-show integrations, the Ultimate College Football Road Trip sponsored by Dos Equis, featuring Mark Titus and Charlotte Wilder, hosts of FOX Sports’ popular digital original series THE PEOPLE’S SPORTS PODCAST, “The People’s Podcast,” makes eight stops at campuses across the country, kicking off Friday, Sept. 3, in Madison, Wis.
Also new this season, FOX Sports teams up with Jersey Mike’s for a 10-stop tailgate tour, delivering giveaways, games, appearances by FOX Sports mascot “Cleatus” and more. College football fans also have the chance to win with RISE Brewing Co., which launches its second consecutive sweepstakes with FOX College Football, encouraging college football faithful to “Fuel Your Superfan.”
The comprehensive campaign also includes media buys across linear and digital platforms as well as site-specific executions at some of the network’s biggest games.
