FOX Sports Announces 2021-22 College Hoops Schedule
FOX, FS1 & FS2 to Televise Over 300 Matchups Throughout Season
Johnson, Jackson & Raftery Lead College Hoops Coverage
LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports today announces the start of its 2021-22 college basketball schedule, featuring more than 300 games across the FOX family of networks. The season tips off Tuesday, Nov. 9, with exclusive whip-around coverage of seven BIG EAST contests during the BIG EAST OPENING NIGHT TIP-OFF at 6:30 PM ET on FS1.
This season, FOX Sports televises top men’s games from the BIG EAST, Big Ten, Pac-12 and Mountain West conferences, as well as women’s games from the BIG EAST and Big Ten. The network also showcases the full BIG EAST tournament and select games from the Pac-12 tournament and BIG EAST women’s tournaments, including the championship matchups.
Highlights from the 2021-22 schedule include eight Gavitt Tipoff Games, the early-season conference challenge between the BIG EAST and Big Ten, including Seton Hall at preseason No. 6 Michigan and No. 17 Ohio State at Xavier. Over Thanksgiving week, FS1 is home to the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off, featuring Ohio State, Florida, Seton Hall and Cal. In December, FOX Sports televises five matchups in the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle, including No. 3 Kansas at St. John’s and No. 5 Texas at Seton Hall.
In addition to conference contests, highly anticipated non-conference matchups include Syracuse at Georgetown, Arizona at No. 11 Illinois, No. 2 UCLA at Marquette, and No. 7 Purdue vs. Butler and Notre Dame vs. Indiana in the 2021 Crossroads Classic. The women’s slate is highlighted by No. 15 Tennessee at No. 2 UConn and Notre Dame at No. 2 UConn.
This season’s lineup of game broadcasters, studio personalities and other contributors include some of the best voices in the business. Gus Johnson, the most exciting voice in sports, returns as FOX Sports’ lead play-by-play announcer, with former All-American and NBA veteran Jim Jackson and Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Bill Raftery serving as lead game analysts.
FOX Sports’ play-by-play roster also includes Tim Brando, Joe Davis, Brandon Gaudin, Aaron Goldsmith and Kevin Kugler. Nick Bahe, Stephen Bardo, Casey Jacobsen, Steve Lavin and Donny Marshall return to FOX Sports as game analysts.
In studio, Rob Stone, Mike Hill and Kevin Burkhardt share hosting duties, joined by Jackson, Jacobsen, Lavin and Marshall as analysts throughout the season. Mike DeCourcy, member of the U.S. Basketball Writers Hall of Fame, also returns this season as FOX Sports’ bracket expert.
Former Ohio State walk-on Mark Titus provides multimedia coverage across FOX Sports digital platforms, including his popular college hoops podcast, “Titus and Tate,” with co-host Tate Frazier, available on the FOX Sports app, FOXSports.com and YouTube. Renowned college basketball reporter Andy Katz also contributes weekly columns, videos, and tier rankings on FOX Sports digital platforms throughout the season.
