FOX Sports Celebrates BIG EAST Founder Dave Gavitt Durning Sixth Annual Gavitt Tipoff Games
Early Conference Challenge Between BIG EAST and Big Ten Conferences Features Marquee Matchups on FS1
LOS ANGELES – Tonight, FOX Sports honors the legacy of Dave Gavitt, founder and first commissioner of the BIG EAST Conference, with coverage of the sixth annual Gavitt Tipoff Games. Starting at 7:00 PM ET, all eight of the series’ inter-conference contests are televised on FS1.
This year’s Gavitt Tipoff Games are highlighted by several marquee matchups, including No. 10 Illinois vs. Marquette, Monday, Nov. 15, at 7:00 PM ET, Seton Hall vs. No. 4 Michigan, Tuesday, Nov. 16, at 9:00 PM ET, and No. 19 Ohio State at Xavier, Thursday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 PM ET.
Play-by-play announcers Joe Davis, Eric Collins, Brandon Gaudin and Kevin Kugler, as well as analysts Bill Raftery, Jim Jackson, Donny Marshall, Nick Bahe and Stephen Bardo are on the call throughout the series. In addition, host Mike Hill and analysts Steve Lavin, Casey Jacobsen and Jackson provide insight and analysis from FOX Sports’ Los Angeles studio.
