LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, the official English-language broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, celebrates the landmark one year until the tournament’s anticipated kickoff next fall. In honor of the occasion, the network unveiled company-wide coverage and initiatives across its television, digital and social platforms. The men’s FIFA World Cup™ will air on FOX, FS1, FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports App with unprecedented coverage from November 21 to December 18, 2022.
“We couldn’t be more excited for the world’s biggest moment in sports to return to FOX Sports in just one year with FIFA World Cup Qatar™,” said FOX Sports FIFA World Cup™ Executive Producer, David Neal. “This will be the premier event of 2022 and our largest production in broadcast history. The field of contenders is shaping up to be one of the best we’ve seen, and that hopefully includes the star-studded U.S. men’s national team. We look forward to showcasing inspiring athletes, fan-favorite teams and the country of Qatar with this anticipated global event.”
FOX Sports unveiled today the new FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ countdown trailer that will air across FOX affiliates and FOX Sports’ digital and social platforms (LINK HERE). Additionally, FOX Bet Sportsbook revealed that Brazil is the early favorite to win the tournament and starting today fans (in legal states) can place their bets on the FOX Bet Sportsbook.
This Sunday, FOX NFL KICKOFF will mark the one-year out occasion during the broadcast, promotional images will take over New York’s Times Square ‘Godzilla Board and Tubi’s sports streaming destination “Sports on Tubi” will stream replays of memorable 2021 soccer tournaments, including Copa America on FOX, Concacaf Gold Cup, Concacaf Champions League, as well as a variety of soccer-themed movies and documentaries featuring the sport’s biggest stars, such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
