2022 BIG EAST Men’s Tournament Begins Today on FOX and FS1
Play-by-Play Announcers Gus Johnson and Tim Brando Pair with Analysts Jim Jackson and Bill Raftery and Sideline Reporter Kristina Pink
Rob Stone Hosts On-Site Studio Coverage Alongside Analysts Steve Lavin and Donny Marshall
New York – Today, FOX Sports begins its exclusive presentation of the 2022 BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament, held Wednesday, March 9 to Saturday, March 12, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
FOX Sports lead play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson joins Emmy Award winner Bill Raftery to call the tournament’s Thursday night quarterfinals before teaming with former All-American and NBA veteran Jim Jackson for the semifinals and championship. Veteran play-by-play announcer Tim Brando calls Wednesday’s first-round games with Raftery and Thursday’s afternoon quarterfinals with Jackson. Kristina Pink also serves as sideline reporter for all ten games.
On-site studio coverage from Madison Square Garden provides insight and analysis, led by host Rob Stone alongside former UCLA and St. John’s head coach Steve Lavin and former UConn standout Donny Marshall. The trio provides bridge and postgame coverage throughout the tournament, plus half-hour pregame shows before Friday’s semifinals and Saturday’s championship on FOX. Bracket expert Mike DeCourcy also weighs in on the latest NCAA Tournament projections.
BIG EAST viewers will be treated to unique and impressive visuals with the return of FOX Sports RailCam, plus the Emmy-nominated ‘Megalodon,’ a live wireless camera that produces ultra-vivid imagery integrated seamlessly within a live telecast.
FOX Sports digital platforms also offer extensive coverage from Mark Titus and Tate Frazier, who will be on-site for live shows from Madison Square Garden following FOX Sports’ linear coverage on the FOX Sports app and FOXSports.com.
The action begins today at 4:30 PM ET when No. 8 seed Xavier takes on No. 9 seed Butler on FS1.
