CONMEBOL Women’s Copa America 2022™ Kicks Off on FOX Sports with 25 Matches from July 8 – July 30
LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the world’s top international soccer tournaments, today presents its 25-match broadcast schedule for CONMEBOL Women’s Copa America 2022™.
Featuring 10 of the top teams from South America, the ninth edition of the competition opens Friday, July 8, at 5:00 PM ET with Bolivia vs. Ecuador on FS2 and Colombia vs. Paraguay at 8:00 PM ET on FS1. Defending champion Brazil opens play vs. Argentina Saturday, July 9, at 8:00 PM ET on FOX Soccer Plus. Matches throughout the tournament will air live on FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus culminating with the Women’s Copa America Final on Saturday, July 30.
Matches will take place in Armenia, Bucaramanga and Cali as Colombia hosts the high-stakes tournament that also functions as South American qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023™, the 2023 Pan American Games and the 2024 Olympics.
FOX SPORTS SOCCER BROADCASTERS
JP Dellacamera, John Strong and Callum Williams will serve as play-by-play announcers for matches on FS1, while Aly Wagner, Lori Lindsey, Kyndra de St. Aubin and Cat Whitehill provide expert color commentary as match analysts.
- JP Dellacamera is FOX Sports’ lead women’s soccer play-by-play announcer. He is regarded as one of the original voices of U.S. Soccer with a broadcasting career spanning 30 years and brings decades of experience covering a total of 15 FIFA World Cups™ (nine men’s, six women’s) across television and radio.
- John Strong currently serves as FOX Sports’ lead soccer play-by-play announcer for men’s competitions and has been a fixture at the network since joining full-time in 2015. He is the voice of many of the biggest matches FOX Sports has to offer across several properties and will return as lead play-by-play announcer at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ later this year.
- Callum Williams is the lead English-language commentator for CONMEBOL global broadcasts and currently works as the lead play-by-play TV announcer for Minnesota United Football Club in Major League Soccer.
- Aly Wagner is FOX Sports’ lead soccer match analyst for women’s competitions. A two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ veteran, she made U.S. English-language TV history as the first woman to call a men’s FIFA World Cup™ match in 2018. Playing for the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) from 1999 to 2008, she scored 21 goals and recorded 42 assists in 131 international matches.
- Lori Lindsey joins FOX Sports’ Women’s Copa America broadcast team as a match analyst after making her network debut last week on FS1’s broadcast of LAFC vs. FC Dallas. Her 13-year playing career highlights include representing the USWNT at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in Germany and helping Team USA win the 2012 Olympic Gold Medal in London.
- Kyndra de St. Aubin returns to FOX Sports after serving as an integral member of the network’s broadcast teams at the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup™. Since 2017, the former University of Minnesota soccer star has been the lead color analyst for Minnesota United Football Club matches.
- Cat Whitehill returns to FOX Sports after calling the 2015 FIFA World Cup Final on FOX as part of a three-person booth and contributing to the network’s 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ coverage as a match analyst. A 10-year veteran defender for the USWNT, she participated in the 2003 and 2007 FIFA World Cups™ and 2004 Olympics.
