LOS ANGELES – The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that FOX Sports has been honored with 33 nominations for the 44th Annual Sports Emmy Awards for its outstanding programming and live-event coverage across FOX, FS1 and FOX Sports’ digital properties.
FOX Sports’ nominees include a wide range of live events, shows, and original programming. FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022™ garnered 10 nominations, recognizing the exceptional effort put forth to execute coverage of the global event. The company’s presentation of SUPER BOWL LVII, featuring an all-star cast of FOX NFL broadcasters and wall-to-wall coverage, received six nominations.
Outstanding Live Special
FOX Sports dominated the Outstanding Live Special category with four of the six nominations in the field including SUPER BOWL LVII (Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles), FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022™ Final (Argentina vs. France), MLB AT FIELD OF DREAMS and the 118th WORLD SERIES (Houston Astros vs. Philadelphia Phillies).
