FOX Sports Unveils Broadcaster Match Assignments for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ Quarterfinals
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – The Quarterfinals for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ kicks off in primetime on Thursday, Aug. 10, with eight elite contenders from around the globe still standing in the quest to win the world’s greatest sporting event. FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the tournament, today presents broadcaster match assignments for the highly anticipated four-match slate on FOX.
David Neal, Executive Producer of FIFA World Cup™ on FOX and Vice President of Production for FOX Sports, made today’s announcement designating the pairings that will call the Quarterfinal round from the Land Down Under.
Veteran play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera and United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) FIFA Women’s World Cup™ veteran Aly Wagner anchor the call for the first match of the Quarterfinals between two of the most dynamic teams in the tournament in Spain vs. Netherlands. Live coverage on Thursday, Aug. 10, begins at 8:00 PM ET on FOX with FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP LIVE leading right up to the match at 9:00 PM ET.
On Friday, Aug. 11, at 3:30 AM ET, USWNT FIFA Women’s World Cup™ veteran Lori Lindsey and celebrated commentator Jacqui Oatley call the high-octane showdown between Japan and Sweden. The Quarterfinals reach a fever pitch Saturday, Aug. 12, with a doubleheader featuring the four remaining teams in contention. Dellacamera and Wagner call host nation Australia vs. France at 3:00 AM ET, while play-by-play announcer John Strong and match analyst Kyndra de St. Aubin call England vs. Colombia at 6:30 AM ET.
