FOX Sports Adds Three-Time Super Bowl Champion Julian Edelman to FOX NFL KICKOFF
Super Bowl LIII MVP and Patriots Great Joins Charissa Thompson, Charles Woodson, Michael Vick and Peter Schrager This Fall
LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports bolsters the stellar lineup of on-air broadcasters for its 30th NFL season with the addition of three-time Super Bowl champion and former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman to FOX NFL KICKOFF beginning this fall. The announcement was made by Brad Zager, President of Production & Operations, Executive Producer, FOX Sports.
Edelman joins host Charissa Thompson, alongside analysts Charles Woodson, Michael Vick and NFL insider Peter Schrager on Sundays at 11:00 AM ET ahead of FOX NFL SUNDAY, the No. 1 NFL pregame show for the last 29 straight seasons.
“We are thrilled to welcome Julian Edelman to the FOX Sports family,” Zager said. “His passion for the game, experience as a Super Bowl champion, and ability to connect with fans will unquestionably make him a valuable addition to our team, both on and off the screen.”
Edelman was part of three Super Bowl teams with the New England Patriots and emerged as a primary starter after transitioning from the role of return specialist. Notable for his post-season performances as one of the NFL’s most productive, Edelman ranks third in yards and receptions and holds the Super Bowl records for punt returns and first-half receptions in a single game.
“Joining FOX Sports is a dream come true,” Edelman said. “I grew up watching the NFL on FOX on Sundays, and now being an analyst for FOX NFL KICKOFF feels full circle. Twelve years in this league has given me insight and opinions that I’m eager to share alongside the talented FOX NFL cast and crew.”
Known for his fierce competitive spirit dating back to his days as a quarterback at College of San Mateo and then Kent State University, Edelman finished his collegiate career with 4,997 yards and 30 touchdowns.
A seventh-round pick by the Patriots in 2009, Edelman enjoyed a 12-season NFL career, totaling 620 receptions for 6,822 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns with a 11.0 average per catch. Edelman would be named to the Patriots All-2010s Team and the Patriots All-Dynasty team.
Following retirement, Edelman joined “Inside the NFL” as an analyst on Paramount+ and was nominated for a Sports Emmy in 2022 for his first season on the program. Julian is also a partner in Coast Productions, producing scripted and unscripted projects. A proud member of the Jewish community, Julian has leveraged his platform to be an outspoken advocate against anti-semitism.
