NEW YORK – As teams prepare to take the field, FOX Sports announces a roster of revered play-by-play announcers, versatile hosts, decorated analysts and distinguished reporters for its 29th season of Major League Baseball.

ALL-STAR BOOTH

Joe Davis, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal open the season with an American League showdown as the New York Yankees face the Houston Astros on Saturday, March 30 at 7:00 PM ET on FOX. Among this season’s highlights, the lead crew will call one of the most highly anticipated matchups between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees on Saturday, June 8; and in addition to reporter Tom Verducci, will soundtrack FOX Sports’ coverage of baseball’s crown jewel events.

As he turns the page on a storied playing career, former St. Louis Cardinals ace Adam “Waino” Wainwright makes his debut as a regular season game analyst on Saturday, May 4, during BASEBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA, alongside Adam Amin. The pair reunite with analyst A.J. Pierzynski and Verducci across the pond for the 2024 MLB World Tour: London Series on Saturday, June 8.

Throughout the regular season, announcers Davis, Amin, Jason Benetti, Kevin Kugler and Kenny Albert team up with analysts Smoltz, Wainwright, Verducci, A.J. Pierzynski, Eric Karros and Dontrelle Willis in the booth.

LEGENDARY STUDIO LINEUP

Led by veteran host Kevin Burkhardt, FOX MLB’s on-site studio desk is flanked by names that have shaped a generation of baseball’s history, including World Series Champion Alex Rodriguez and Hall of Famers David Ortiz and Derek Jeter. In addition to covering the network’s special events, this season the show will travel to Yankee Stadium on Saturday, June 8 and provide coverage throughout a unique slate of programming on FOX – beginning with the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies in the 2024 MLB World Tour: London Series, the 2024 Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course and a convergence of stars in the Los Angeles Dodgers-New York Yankees primetime matchup.

Los Angeles – Starting this fall, Fridays are for football as FOX Sports unveils its new special package of elite Friday night college football games on the FOX broadcast network. The primetime slate will feature matchups from the Big Ten, Big 12 and Mountain West conferences.

For three consecutive seasons, FOX Sports has laid claim to the most-watched regular season college football game on any network with the BIG NOON SATURDAY window. In 2023, BIG NOON SATURDAY averaged 6,739,000 viewers on FOX – its best season ever and up +8% year-over-year.

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s home for the world’s top international soccer tournaments, today presents coverage plans for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup with Round of 16 matches airing on FS1 and FS2.

The Concacaf Champions Cup continues into Round of 16 action following a thrilling opening round of matches. Sixteen participating top-flight clubs, including eight teams from Major League Soccer (MLS) and five teams from Liga MX, remain in the battle to be crowned Concacaf club champion and qualify for the expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.

Round of 16 play begins on Tuesday, March 5, with a tripleheader on FS2. On Thursday, March 7, and Wednesday, March 13, Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF play Nashville SC on FS2 with coverage starting at 8:56 PM ET for the first leg and 8:05 PM ET for the second leg. Additionally, on Wednesday, March 6, and Wednesday, March 13, LigaMX titans Club América and C.D. Guadalajara face off on FS2 with first-leg coverage starting at 9:56 PM ET and second-leg coverage starting at 10:20 PM ET.

Alexi Lalas, Stu Holden and John Strong anchor studio coverage on FS1 around the trio of Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16 matches taking place on Tuesday, March 12. Strong and Holden, FOX Sports’ lead announcer pairing, will call the second leg of Columbus Crew vs. Houston Dynamo. Additional broadcasters calling matches on the day include play-by-play announcer Luis Omar Tapia and match analyst Maurice Edu on CF Pachuca vs. Philadelphia Union, and play-by-play announcer Keith Costigan and match analyst Cobi Jones on Tigres UANL vs. Orlando City.

Major League Soccer’s 2024 Regular Season Opens on FOX Sports and FOX Deportes

MLS Season Culminates Saturday, Dec. 7, on FOX and FOX Deportes as MLS Cup 2024 Crowns League Champion

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports today announces plans to kick off Major League Soccer’s 29th season this coming weekend as the league’s U.S. English and Spanish language linear television home for the regular season. The 34-match regular-season TV schedule includes 15 games on FOX and 19 games on FS1 with every match airing in Spanish on FOX Deportes.

FOX Sports’ MLS regular-season coverage opens Saturday, Feb. 24, at 4:30 PM ET on FOX when Los Angeles Football Club hosts Seattle Sounders FC. The following Saturday, March 2, Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF make the first of two nationally televised appearances when they face rival Orlando City at 4:30 PM ET on FOX. Inter Miami CF’s match vs. reigning MLS Cup Champion Columbus Crew on Wednesday, Oct. 2, will air on FS1 starting at 7:30 PM ET.

In total, 23 teams will play across FOX and FS1 as part of the 2024 regular-season TV schedule. Broadcaster match assignments will be announced prior to matches over the course of the regular season. The regular season culminates on FOX and FOX Deportes on Saturday, Dec. 7, with MLS Cup 2024.

FOX Deportes’ complete 34-match slate features the network’s distinguished line-up of commentators and analysts, including play-by-play announcers John Laguna and Rodolfo Landeros, alongside former Mexican National team members Claudio Suarez, Mariano Trujillo, Martin “Pulpo” Zuñiga and Copa Libertadores champion Alvaro Izquierdo. MLS coverage also appears regularly on the network’s main studio shows: EL ENTRETIEMPO, TOTAL SPORTS 360 and PUNTO FINAL.

Prior to retirement from driving at the conclusion of the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, Harvick served as a FOX NASCAR guest driver analyst for multiple NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races, and during multiple NASCAR RACE HUB appearances. In 2015, he was the first of five active Cup Series drivers selected to be a guest driver analyst in the network’s inaugural year of Xfinity Series race coverage, making his debut in the season-opening race at Daytona. Harvick’s rotation in the FOX Sports booth eventually led to his annual stint as play-by-play announcer for FOX NASCAR’s “Drivers Only” Xfinity Series race telecast, commencing in 2017 and running through his final season in 2023.

(February 15, 2024) – HS&E and FOX Sports announced today the launch of a new early-season college basketball showcase, the Women’s Champions Classic. The inaugural Women’s Champions Classic will feature the University of Connecticut, the University of Iowa, the University of Louisville, and the University of Tennessee, squaring off in a primetime doubleheader on the FOX broadcast network, Saturday, December 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Initial plans call for an annual event featuring UConn, the most successful women’s basketball program in the nation, in an early season showcase that will include a rotation of some of the most storied college programs.

The inaugural Women’s Champions Classic features:

  • Four women’s college basketball programs, boasting a total of 19 NCAA Division I National Championships and 46 appearances in NCAA Final Fours. Additionally, these esteemed programs have garnered over 120 conference titles collectively.
  • UConn has won a record 11 NCAA Division I National Championships, including a record four in a row from 2013-16. Additionally, they have appeared in 22 Final Fours and have won 57 conference regular season and tournament championships.
  • The University of Iowa are coming off a 2023 Final Four and National Championship Game appearance. The Hawkeyes have appeared in two NCAA Final Fours in program history and have captured a combined 15 BIG TEN conference and regular season titles.
  • The University of Louisville Cardinals women’s basketball team has appeared in four Final Fours, including two appearances in the National Championship Game.  They have won a combined 15 regular season and conference tournament championships. The Cardinals are currently the only team in the country that have been to each of the last five Elite Eights.
  • The University of Tennesseehas earned the most victories in the history of NCAA Division I women’s college basketball with 1466. The Lady Vols have captured eight national championships, with 18 NCAA Final Four appearances, and a combined 35 SEC conference and regular season titles.

DAYTONA 500 COVERAGE

Former NASCAR Cup Series champion and 2007 Daytona 500 winner Kevin Harvick makes his NASCAR analyst debut on FOX on Sunday, Feb. 18 (2:30 PM ET), alongside play-by-play announcer Mike Joy, covering his 45th Daytona 500 for live TV or radio, and analyst and former driver Clint Bowyer, in his fourth year with FOX Sports.

Longtime race analyst and two-time DAYTONA 500-winning crew chief Larry McReynolds, with FOX for his 21st consecutive Daytona Speedweeks, partners with Joy, Bowyer and Harvick from the FOX Sports studios in Charlotte.

Veteran reporters Jamie Little, Regan Smith and Josh Sims deliver pit road news and updates, with additional offerings by two-time Daytona 500 champion Michael Waltrip.

NASCAR RACEDAY

Shannon Spake anchors NASCAR RACEDAY prerace studio coverage, with analysis from McReynolds, former Daytona 500 champion Trevor Bayne and Hall of Famer Bobby Labonte. NASCAR XFINITY SERIES

FOX NASCAR continues to welcome a variety of active NASCAR Cup Series drivers to the FS1 booth for all NASCAR Xfinity Series race broadcasts this season alongside play-by-announcer Adam Alexander, a practice begun in 2015. Alexander will call the season opener from Daytona on Saturday, Feb. 17 (5:00 PM ET on FS1), with analysis from former NASCAR Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski and Austin Dillon. Smith and Sims handle reporting duties. Spake hosts NASCAR RACEDAY-XFINITY from Charlotte with McReynolds and Bayne offering analysis.

NASCAR CRAFTSMAN TRUCK SERIES

Alexander and Little, the first and only female play-by-play announcer in NASCAR, again share play-by-play duties for FOX NASCAR’s 22nd season of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series coverage. Alexander calls the season opener from Daytona on Friday, Feb. 16 (7:30 PM ET on FS1), alongside analysts Waltrip and Phil Parsons, with Amanda Busick and Smith delivering pit reports.

Kaitlyn Vincie continues to host NASCAR RACEDAY-NCTS from the Charlotte studio prior to each Truck Series race alongside analyst and two-time series champion Todd Bodine and Bayne.

ARCA MENARDS SERIES

FOX Sports embarks on its 28th season of ARCA Menards Series coverage, airing all 20 races live on FS1 or FS2. Little returns to the play-by-play chair for the fourth season, beginning with the Daytona season opener on Saturday, Feb. 17 (1:30 PM ET on FS1). Parsons again is by her side as analyst alongside guest driver analyst Austin Cindric, with Busick and Heather DeBeaux covering pit road at Daytona.
