FOX Sports Films Debuts New Original Documentary I Am Kevin Harvick February 15 on FS1

Film Chronicles Legendary Career of NASCAR Cup Series Champion and FOX Sports’ Newest NASCAR Analyst Kevin Harvick

Trailer Released Today (Click Here)

LOS ANGELES – In the lead-up to FOX Sports’ anticipated coverage of the DAYTONA 500, FOX Sports Films announces today its newest original documentary I AM KEVIN HARVICK. The film chronicles legendary NASCAR champion and FOX Sports’ newest NASCAR analyst Kevin Harvick, through his exhilarating racing career and beyond the finish line to unveil the story behind the iconic athlete rarely seen beyond the confines of the track.

Premiering Thursday, Feb. 15, at 10:00 PM ET on FS1 immediately following the Duel at Daytona, the film invites audiences on a gripping ride through Harvick’s extraordinary 23-year NASCAR  career and offers unprecedented access into his compelling journey and introspection as an athlete, husband and father as he enters his next chapter as a FOX Sports broadcaster.

“Harvick’s journey is one of triumph, resilience and sacrifice, and FOX Sports is thrilled to showcase the human narrative behind one of the most widely regarded figures in NASCAR that truly defined an era,” said Barry Nugent, Vice President, Development and Original Programming, FOX Sports.  “The film not only stands as a tribute to Harvick’s career, but sets the stage for his anticipated debut as an analyst in the booth.”

I AM KEVIN HARVICK exposes through an unfiltered narrative all the pivotal moments, victories and challenges that defined Harvick’s legacy and lasting impact like never before, beginning with his childhood tearing up asphalt in Bakersfield, Calif., to his prominence in NASCAR’s premier Cup Series. The film offers a rare glimpse into Harvick’s life outside of the track to reveal the man behind the public image. While renowned for being an intense and fierce competitor, the film also peels back the layers on Harvick as both a devoted family man, philanthropist and some of his lesser-known narratives.

“We wanted to be able to show my journey over the last 30 years and the transition into the broadcast booth with FOX,” Harvick said. “I’ve never let my guard down or let people too far into our lives, but this has been a fun process. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out!”

Through candid interviews, never-before-seen footage and personal anectodes from those who supported Harvick throughout his career, including a sit-down with his former car owner, close friend and mentor Richard Childress, viewers will be transported behind-the-scenes as Harvick reflects on many of these defining moments, including taking over driving duties for Richard Childress Racing following the tragic death of Dale Earnhardt in 2001; winning the Daytona 500 in 2007; his Cup Series title in 2014; and the lead up to his emotional 826th and final Cup race at Phoenix Raceway in November 2023.

I AM KEVIN HARVICK is produced by NASCAR Studios. The film’s executive producers are Tim Clark for NASCAR Studios along with Tally Hair, as well as FOX Sports’ Eric Shanks, Mark Silverman, Charlie Dixon and Barry Nugent. Ariana Rotstein, Carl Hansen and Michael Vayder serve as producers. Rita O’Dea serves as associate producer. The film is directed by Justin Burnett (“Race for the Championship”).

FOX Sports Films is dedicated to presenting captivating global sports documentaries through an unconventional and entertaining lens. Working with FOX Sports’ league and conference partners, the brand produces original programming, connecting live sports events to sports culture.
