European Qualifiers Start Countdown to FOX Sports’ Presentation of the UEFA European Football Championship 2024

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s new home for the UEFA EURO 2024™, and FuboTV Inc., the leading sports-first live TV streaming platform, today present coverage plans and broadcast schedules for the first two rounds of the European Qualifiers.

Beginning on Wednesday, March 22, and continuing through to the end of the second round of matches on Tuesday, March 28, FOX Sports will air 20 qualifying matches and six friendly matches across FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus. During this window, 26 qualifying matches and two friendly matches will stream exclusively on Fubo’s 24/7 sports network, Fubo Sports, as part of Fubo’s subscription packages featuring 125+ leading sports, news and entertainment channels.

The European Qualifiers features 53 participating national teams from across the continent, including France, England, Croatia, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and more marquee UEFA member national teams, competing to secure one of 20 coveted spots in next summer’s prestigious tournament for the European crown.

European Qualifier Highlights:

  • Reigning UEFA EURO Champion Italy and England face off Thursday, March 23, on FS1. Fans of the Azzurri and Three Lions can tune in for live coverage starting at 3:30 PM ET. The following day, Friday, March 24, features Sweden vs. Belgium on FS1 beginning at 3:30 PM ET.
  • The highly anticipated competition between France and the Netherlands on Friday, March 24 begins on Fubo at 3:45 PM ET. On Sunday, March 26, England and Ukraine headline the day’s matches kicking off at 12:00 PM ET on Fubo.
  • France takes center stage vs. the Republic of Ireland on Monday, March 27, starting at 2:30 PM ET on FS1.
  • To close out the competition, Scotland vs. Spain and Switzerland vs. Israel will begin on Fubo on Tuesday, March 28, at 3:35 PM ET.
  • Marquee matches on FS2 include Spain vs. Norway on Saturday, March 25, at 3:30 PM ET, Luxembourg vs. Portugal on Sunday, March 26, at 2:30 PM ET and a friendly between Germany and Belgium on Tuesday, March 28, at 2:30 PM ET.

New York – This week, FOX Sports begins its exclusive presentation of the 2023 BIG EAST Men’s Basketball Tournament, held Wednesday, March 8 to Saturday, March 11, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

FOX Sports’ lead play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson joins Emmy Award-winner Bill Raftery to call the tournament’s Thursday night quarterfinals before teaming with two-time All-American and NBA veteran Jim Jackson for the semifinals and championship. Longtime play-by-play announcer Tim Brando calls Wednesday’s first-round games with Raftery and Thursday’s afternoon quarterfinals with Jackson. Kristina Pink also serves as sideline reporter for all ten games.

On-site studio coverage from Madison Square Garden provides insight and analysis, led by host Rob Stone alongside a pair of NBA alumni and college hoops standouts, Casey Jacobsen and Donny Marshall. The trio provides bridge and postgame coverage throughout the tournament, plus pregame shows before Friday’s semifinals and Saturday’s championship on FOX. Tech Enhancements:

This year, FOX Sports implements a live drone inside Madison Square Garden, believed to be the first time an in-arena live drone will be used in a college basketball contest. In addition, FOX Sports’ Emmy-nominated ‘Megalodon,’ a live wireless camera that produces ultra-vivid imagery integrated seamlessly within a live telecast, returns to the BIG EAST tournament.

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports takes the hill for the opening of the World Baseball Classic (WBC), with the first game of the premier international baseball tournament – Cuba vs. Netherlands in Pool A play – set for Tuesday, March 7, from Taiwan’s Taichung Intercontinental Stadium at 11:00 PM ET on FS1, FOX Deportes and FOX Sports streaming services.

Team USA, featuring MLB All-Stars Mookie Betts, Mike Trout, Tim Anderson, Trea Turner, Will Smith, Adam Wainwright and many others, makes its WBC debut Saturday, March 11, from Phoenix’s Chase Field against Pool C opponent Great Britain at 9:00 PM ET on FOX.

Joe Davis, the voice of FOX MLB, joins first-ballot Hall-of-Famer and Sports Emmy winner John Smoltz in the booth for the Team USA opener. Emmy Award-winning reporter Ken Rosenthal reports from the field.

WBC rosters include more than 60 MLB All-Stars, 180-plus players on 40-man rosters and more than 300 players under contract with big league teams according to MLB. There are eight Major League MVPs in Paul Goldschmidt, Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Clayton Kershaw, Jose Altuve and Miguel Cabrera. Of note, 16 of the top 18 finishers for the 2022 NL MVP and six of the top 10 finishers for the 2022 AL MVP are scheduled to participate in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, with the reigning Nippon Professional Baseball MVP Munetaka Murakami and Korea Baseball Organization MVP Jung-Hoo Lee also on lineup cards.

Operated by MLB and the MLBPA and sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation, the World Baseball Classic will be contested on fields in Japan, Taiwan and the U.S., and wraps up with semifinal games at loanDepot park March 19-20 and the championship game in Miami on Tuesday, March 21.

FOX Deportes presents a total of 29 live World Baseball Classic games beginning on Tuesday, March 7 with the opening game between Cuba and the Netherlands. LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s home for the world’s top international soccer tournaments, today presents plans for the 15th edition of the Concacaf Champions League (CCL) with Round of 16 matches airing on FS1, FS2 and FOX Soccer Plus. The 2023 CCL features 16 participating top-flight clubs, including five teams from Major League Soccer (MLS) and four teams from Liga MX, competing to win the region’s most prestigious club competition.

The CCL Round of 16 opens play on Tuesday, March 7, with back-to-back matches featuring MLS participants on FS1. Austin FC takes on Violette AC starting at 6:00 PM ET, followed by Alianza FC vs. Philadelphia Union at 8:00 PM ET. The final match of the evening begins at 10:00 PM ET on FS2 with Tigres UANL vs. Orlando City SC.

On Wednesday, March 8, Vancouver Whitecaps FC take on Real CD España starting at 9:56 PM ET on FOX Soccer Plus, while reigning MLS Cup Champions LAFC make their 2023 CCL debut vs. LD Alajuelense on Thursday, March 9, at 9:56 PM ET on FS2.

The winner of the tournament qualifies for the annual FIFA Club World Cup™, where they’ll face the top teams from Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania and South America. LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports today announces plans to open Major League Soccer’s 28th season this coming weekend as the league’s exclusive U.S. English and Spanish language television home for the regular season. The robust 34-match regular-season TV schedule features 15 games on FOX and 19 games on FS1 with every match airing in Spanish on FOX Deportes.

The 2023 MLS season kicks off Saturday, Feb. 25, at 4:30 PM ET on FOX when Nashville SC hosts NYCFC. On Sunday, Feb. 26, at 8:00 PM ET, FS1 will air the matchup between Seattle Sounders FC and Colorado Rapids. FOX Deportes’ coverage of Sounders vs. Rapids will stream live on the FOX Sports App with tape delay on Monday, Feb. 27 at 9:00 PM ET.

Veteran play-by-play announcer John Strong and match analyst Stu Holden return as FOX soccer’s lead broadcast booth calling select matches on FOX throughout the regular season, including Saturday’s regular season opener between Nashville SC and NYCFC; LAFC vs. Portland Timbers on Saturday, March 4, at 4:30 PM ET; Charlotte FC vs. Atlanta United FC on Saturday, March 11, at 12:00 PM ET; and Sounders vs. LAFC on Saturday, March 18, at 4:00 PM ET. ARIZONA – The Grand Canyon State delivered a grand finale for the ages with a preliminary average audience of 113 million tuning in to watch the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Philadelphia Eagles (38 – 35) in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Stadium in Arizona.

Kansas City’s victory in the Valley delivered the best Super Bowl audience in six years ranking as the most-watched Super Bowl since 2017 on FOX, per Nielsen Media Research Fast National data and Adobe Analytics. Final Nielsen data will be available tomorrow.

FOX Sports Announces 2023 CONCACAF Men’s U-17 Championship Broadcast Schedule

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports, America’s home for the world’s top international soccer tournaments, today presents its 39-match broadcast schedule for the 2023 Concacaf Men’s U-17 Championship with matches airing live across the FOX family of networks, including FS1, FS2, FOX Soccer Plus and Tubi.

Beginning on Saturday, Feb. 11, twenty teams will compete in the two-week long tournament that will see all four semifinalists qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Peru 2023™. Nineteen matches will air on FS2, including Quarterfinals, Semifinals and the Final on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 5 PM ET. Additionally, Tubi will live stream select matches from the Concacaf tournament for the first time, including four Round of 16 matches.

The United States U-17 Men’s Youth National Team opens play Saturday vs. Barbados at 8:00 PM ET on FS2, while their second match vs. Trinidad and Tobago on Monday, Feb. 13 kicks off at 8:00 PM ET on FS1. The U.S. U-17 squad’s final group stage match vs. Canada on Wednesday, Feb. 15 airs at 8:00 PM ET on FS2.
