FOX Sports Announces Broadcaster Match Assignments for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Weekend Round of 16

DOHA, QATAR – The first two weeks of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ has captivated fans and viewers across the United States and with the knockout round set to begin on Saturday, Dec. 3, FOX Sports, America’s English-language home for the tournament, today unveils broadcaster match assignments for the first two days of the Round of 16.

David Neal, Executive Producer of FIFA World Cup™ on FOX and Vice President of Production for FOX Sports, made today’s announcement assigning the network’s celebrated lineup of commentators for this weekend’s monumental matches.

FOX Sports’ lead play-by-play announcer John Strong and lead match analyst Stu Holden return to call the U.S. Men’s National Team’s Saturday morning showdown vs. Netherlands with Jenny Taft reporting from the sidelines. Live coverage begins at 9:00 AM ET on FOX with FIFA WORLD CUP LIVE leading right up to the opening whistle at 10:00 AM ET.

The FIFA World Cup™ on FOX Saturday doubleheader continues with Lionel Messi and Argentina battling Australia at 2:00 PM ET. Distinguished play-by-play announcer Derek Rae pairs with match analyst and former U.S. Women’s National Team star Aly Wagner on the call with Rodolfo Landeros serving as sideline reporter.

On Sunday, Dec. 4, Round of 16 action ramps up on FS1 as Kylian Mbappé and France face off against Poland with Strong and Holden calling the match at 10:00 AM ET. Harry Kane and England’s battle vs. Senegal takes center stage at 2:00 PM ET with the world-class tandem of Ian Darke and Landon Donovan in the broadcast booth and Geoff Shreeves on the sidelines.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In celebration of NASCAR’s 75th anniversary season in 2023, FOX Sports presents a special edition of NASCAR RACE HUB airing Sunday, Dec. 4, on FOX (check local listings for airtime). The one-hour special, NASCAR RACE HUB: 75 YEARS OF RACING, features multiple roundtable interviews with past and present NASCAR champions and current superstars of the sport.

Kaitlyn Vincie hosts, with Adam Alexander, Mike Joy and Josh Sims moderating the various discussions regarding a multitude of topics with Richard Petty, Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, Joey Logano, Kyle Busch, Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace and current FOX NASCAR analyst Clint Bowyer.

Featured conversations include:

Alexander, Petty, Gordon and Logano: A discussion of how far NASCAR has come in 75 years; their first memories of the sport; the 1992 Atlanta race, which was Petty’s last and Gordon’s first; Logano’s explanation of how Petty set the standard for drivers on and off the track; iconic moments in the sport; the 1979 Daytona 500; Dale Earnhardt’s 1998 Daytona 500 win; and Jimmie Johnson’s seven championships.
