Serie A and FOX Deportes Announce Landmark U.S. Spanish-Language Media Rights Agreement

Lega Serie A underscores its commitment to expanding its reach in the United States, with a new two-year Spanish-language broadcast deal

NEW YORK, NY & LOS ANGELES, CA – Lega Serie A and FOX Deportes have announced a groundbreaking multi-year Spanish-language U.S. media rights deal, following approval at today’s Serie A Assembly in Milan.

The two-year FOX Deportes agreement will offer a Spanish-language broadcast product, providing the league with enhanced levels of reach and engagement.

This unprecedented partnership with FOX Deportes underscores Serie A’s commitment to fostering growth with a more diverse audience in the United States, serving the Spanish-speaking community, and providing visibility for the league to a significant bilingual audience.

Serie A will be available to Spanish-speaking audiences via linear broadcasts, with FOX Deportes offering up to three matches per game week. Select matches will also feature Spanish-language pre-match and post-match studio coverage.

Additionally, all matches will be streamed on FOX Sports App. Further Serie A content, including analysis, interviews and match highlights will feature on the network’s daily sports news show Total Sports 360 and soccer debate show Punto Final.

FOX Deportes coverage will begin this weekend, when the 2024-25 Serie A season begins with AC Milan hosting Torino on Saturday, August 17 at 2:30 PM ET. The action continues Sunday, August 18 with Verona taking on Napoli at 12:30PM ET, followed by Roma’s trip to Cagliari at 2.45PM ET.

The landmark deal with FOX Deportes, the United States’ first and longest-running Spanish-language sports network, follows the renewal of the exclusive U.S. English-language media rights agreement with CBS Sports. Serie A has set a new benchmark for soccer media rights innovation as the first major European league to partner with two dedicated U.S. broadcasters.

Nine of the 20 Serie A teams have a North American ownership stake, and the league boasts some of North America’s biggest soccer talents, including USMNT stars Christian Pulisic, Yunus Musah, Timothy Weah, Weston McKennie, Canada’s Tajon Buchanan and Mexico national team defender Johan Vásquez.

A growing number of U.S. stakeholders in Serie A, combined with increased interest in the sport as the thriving territory prepares to stage several major international tournaments in the coming years, signals high growth potential for the league.

Serie A’s new U.S. broadcasting partnerships, which allow for new avenues of bilingual tailored content development, ensure the enhancement of the marketability and investment potential of Italian soccer in the United States. This, in turn, brings added benefits to Serie A’s existing and future brand partners, while strengthening the league’s ability to capture the hearts of new fans.
